UNDER CONSTRUCTION!

Since it has been quite a long time since we have been active, we are going to be Under Construction for a while - trying new fonts, designs, and updating our sidebar stuff. Hopefully we will get it how we like it soon so it won't change too much!

Also - Can someone tell me how to get rid of the giant gap below this notice - I cannot figure out how to do it - thanks!!

I MISS MY BABY!

Ok, I have to admit I really really miss Barney, even though I know he is in good hands and probably getting a ton of attention. But I really miss him - I can't wait until he is at home. I am going to call over today and see how he is doing, and then tomorrow he will be home (yay). The cats didn't seem to mind him being gone - only Virgil was a little confused. The other three try to stay out of his way since he is a crazy kitten, so they were happy their tails were safe.

So with the car, the good news is that they said if they have to totally rebuild the transmission it will only be $3800 with parts and labor. The bad news is that if they have to totally rebuild the transmission it will be $3800 with parts and labor. Now, even though the car is 6 years old, it has less than 24,000 miles on it, so this make me very angry - and from what I have read this is very common with the older Mini's, and the company will not cover it even under warranty (they site driver error, because there is no way to prove otherwise you get screwed). But apparently a lot of the vehicles have had low milage transmission issues. They tried to start a class action but it was denied by the courts. Brad is going to see if he can get the cost down, or if somewhere else can do it for less. I am calmer than I was yesterday, and now more angry about it then freaked out. I am also very achy because, I don't know if I mentioned it, but I fell in the parking lot while walking to get my key for the tow truck guy.

Ok, that is enough about me for now. Here are some old pictures of Barney that I have on my work computer - they have been up before but they are so cute.

Cars, UGH. You have my sympathy.

I love it when cats tilt their head to the side like they're trying very, very hard to understand you. :)

Barney -- such the cutie-patootie! I remember seeing the bowl pictures before when I was Lolling them, but not the first upside down head shot -- adorable. I'm sure he's fine, but missing you as much as you miss him.

So sorry to hear about the car. Yes, this is why the car industry is in trouble, because of the lack of quality built-in. I certainly hope you can find a less expensive repair alternative.

Take care of yourself and rest. You sound like you hurt yourself more than you realized.

Amy that is bad news about your transmission...I'm very surprised that a Mini cooper has this problem.I'm absolutely not a mechanic but I thought transmission problems came from towing things like boats that are too heavy. Oh well I'm so sorry.
Give Barney a hug tomorrow.

I am keeping Barney in my thoughts for a great surgery recovery. I'm sure he will be raring to go home!
I'm so sorry about your car Amy! That just sux! And here you need a new computer too. That stuff always, always happens to us too. I'm sorry you fell too. Ouch! It seems like the older we get, the worse a fall affects our bodies.
If I ever win the lotto, I will send you green papers for sure. It's nice people like you that I wish I could help. Then I would send green papers to all the cats in the blogosphere that need help. I know, I daydream way too much... :)
I hope the rest of the week and the rest of the year for that matter, are much better for you and your kitties.
Hugs,
Lorianna

Those pictures of Barney have got to be some of the cutest kittie pictures we think we've ever seen! Don't those eyes just say, "Love me!?!", just as all doggies and kitties deserve to be loved?

Thanks for stopping by our blog. It made us feel really good. Understood and really supported.

Love,

Just caught up on the last 2-3 posts - sorry to hear about the car problems, especially on the way to take Barney for his hoo-ha-ectomy! It was probably nice to have him there to help calm you down, but still it was one more thing you had to deal with (having him there).

At least the $$ isn't quite as bad as you first thought but yeah, still not good. :( Hope you're able to find a better/cheaper way to get it fixed.

And we're purrrrrrring for Barney that he'll be all better when he gets home tomorrow! We understand how you miss him, The Mommy is missing Bugsy something awful this week -- and still has to go through it again next week and again the week after and half of the week after that! Not no fun...

Purrs and hugs,
The Kitty Krew

Barney is such a doll. His colouring reminds me of the Claus family kittens we had (over Christmas, naturally:) ), with the bits of white in the tabby patterning that looks like someone threw a flour ball:)

We hope you feel better soon, and the aches fade away!

Cute pictures! The car situation is
unreal for 24,000 miles, you should
look into the car "Lemon law".
Not sure where you live, the law probably only works in the US?
