UNDER CONSTRUCTION!

Since it has been quite a long time since we have been active, we are going to be Under Construction for a while - trying new fonts, designs, and updating our sidebar stuff. Hopefully we will get it how we like it soon so it won't change too much!

Also - Can someone tell me how to get rid of the giant gap below this notice - I cannot figure out how to do it - thanks!!

Friends on Friday on Wednesday!?!

Hi Everyone! So a couple weeks ago I talked about a few of our friends but it didn't seem like they got too many visistors, so I decided to post it again today - first a few new things, but then it is below. I know the holidays make it crazy so I am not surprised that some days get more visits than others!

But first a couple things - first the Holiday Photo Contest is happening for Brighton at the Friends of the CB site - they need entries so head on over! Here is what Gracie said:

There is a holiday photo contest running through December 26 and all you have to do enter is to make a $5.00 donation to Brighton’s auction and send the photo to me. You can enter as many times as you like as long as you make a $5.00 donation per photo. Show something that you especially enjoy during the holiday time. Real photos or photo shopped photos will be accepted. The winner will be announced New Year’s Eve and they will receive a $20.00 prize paw picked out by me. Help me make this a successful photo contest please tell all of your friends about it.
Ok, next, I wanted to clear things up about the blogs - when I say I am 700+ behind that does include duplicates - but according to reader I do follow 515 blogs - not all animals, not all ones I comment on and so the 700 includes blogs with more than one post I have missed. Oh, and of that 515 not everyone posts daily, and some haven't posted in a long time - but I keep them just in case.  So really there are some blogs I am super behind on. I try to visit everyone who comments but that is tough because going back and forth is hard (well, at least it is when you are being sneaky at work) because it takes a while, so a lot of the time I either go alphabetically or by which blogs have the most posts I have missed. I usually read them all but only head over to visit on the latest one (unless they don't send full text to reader - I know some are set that way - then I usually am on the blog for all of them) and comment on that one (unless I see something that really catches my eye).

Oh, so such cool news - I sent my Christmas cards and I mentioned that I had gotten a comment from Wilfred that he got his - that was cool, and also I got a card from Lorianna from Twilights Muse - I was so happy about that I got a bit teary! It was so good to hear from these old friends!

Tonight we are going to be opening a very special package that came - it is from Gracie, Barney's ladycat, and it will be so fun! She got her package from us and is opening hers at the same-ish time! We will have pics and video tomorrow.

Oh, my earlier non-cat post - wow I didn't expect QUITE that strong a reaction - so to be sure you read it - they lyrics were removed so it was just the music, which is not bad - it is just weird because I would think a lot of parents probably know the song and the lyrics. But the kids themselves wouldn't have heard anything bad. And honestly the song is not horrible (relatively speaking of course - no swearing or anything like that, just a more adult topic in that it is about alcohol)content-wise compared to a lot of stuff, and also I actually really like the song. It just is bizzare.

I also have a very funny post planned (well, in my head at least) that I need to work on - I just have to get some pictures first.

Ok, and now here is our Friends on Friday Repeat on Wednesday!

Hi Everyone - us kitties are taking over today! Yay! We finally get to do a Friends on Friday Post!! We are going to have three friends today if that is ok, to make up for having one for a while! Well, even if it isn't ok that is too bad because well, we have three anyway!

First, we wanted to introduce you to our friend Tia from Cuddles and Catnip! Tia is a cute floofy girl (a Persian) who lives with her human Carly and the dog she likes to call "Dogface" - but who is really Molly. Tia has only been blogging since July but in that time the poor girl has been through a lot, including a scary illness that affected not just her but her human and dogface too! Dogface is her human's assistance dog - her human had bad vision and so she had Molly, excuse me, Dogface, for help. Tia's blog is great because Tia is a feisty girl (which we think it great), and she is a cutie too. The Human has a hard time visiting and commenting on other blogs because of the vision thing, and since a lot of bloggers visit based on comments, we wanted to say that this is the time to make an exception - because it is great, and just because she hasn't commented doesn't mean she didn't stop by (it is the word verification thing that makes it tough). They need way more vists and followers - so go now! Wait, finish the post, then go!

Our second Friday Friend is Ollie, from Blog'n Waco Foster Cat! Ollie is a black kitty who lives with his foster mom and he is super handsome! His foster mom does a post every Tuesday - Artful Cats, with cool cat things from around the internet (the last one was cute cat ornaments).  And on Friday's they like to do a post about black cats - but right now they don't have any new cats to post about (Floyd was on there a while back).  So, be sure to go and meet him too - and if you are a black cat send in your pictures! You will have so much fun getting to know him and of course he is just a cutie too, so you can look at his cuteness!!

And finally, our third Friday Friend is Denali from Kitty Kitty! She is a floofy tabby girl who lives in New Mexico with her mom. Her sister Isis had to leave for the bridge ealier this year, but Denali has continued the blog, and you can still read about her sweet sister there too. She is a good hunter and she likes to tell us what is going on with her and her mom. She has been blogging for a while, and so you may have met her, but if not, well, then you need to go over and say hello!

Ok, that is our return to Friends on Friday for today. We also are participating in the Friendly Friday blog hop, so be sure to check out all the other fun Friday Friends posts too (if you have time of course - if you are like our mom then odds are you will get "too busy" and not get a chance). Mom is going to post our first picture of the Christmas cards we have gotten tomorrow (we hope) and hopefully will get her post of the ecards up too. She is going to print them and put them up with our snail mail cards to decorate so you will probably see them there (if she is not bad about doing it of course!)

See ya!!

Friends on Friday!

Hi Everyone! Welcome to our Friends on Friday post! Today I am doing it a bit different, because we are only doing one friends blog, and we have pictures too. Our Friday Friends this week are Jake and Fergie from Two Special Wires. Jake and Fergie are both rescued Wire Fox Terriers, and they live with their mom out west in the mountains. They had really crummy lives before they went to live with their mom and "Their Girl" (their mom's daughter) but now they have wonderful, loving happy lives. Their posts are always so wonderful and touching and I just love to read them. Jake is the younger of the two, but he has lived with their mom longer, and Fergie, well she is learning from them that life can be filled with love, and she has made a lot of progress - even though we started to follow their blog a while after they started it, well, she has made a ton of progress and every time I read about something she learned (like the first time she played with a toy) I smile. So, if you haven't met them, be sure to stop by. They will really touch your heart.

So, now for the pictures. See, Jake, Fergie and their mom and Their Girl took a trip this summer, and they were passing through our area. I had hoped to be able to meet them but unfortunately the timing didn't work out and we didn't meet up (though I am convinced it will happen some day). So, their mom emailed me and said she had some things to send us - and they came the other day! So I thought it would be fun to show what they sent!

Here is the package (on top of the boogie mat) - hm, wonder what it could be?

It was a package inside a package - Barney and Gus decided to investigate

Yep, it is for us!

See all the little packages - they are clear stones with a picture of each kitty - they even made one for sweet Floyd. Again, they had to be investigated.

And Jake and Fergie Floof!

Oh, and French for Cats - Ooh la la! I hope they learn it better than they have learned English (or at least better than they have learned "get down" and "don't do that")

Here is a close up of one of the stones (it is still in the package because Brad was at a board meeting when we opened the parcel, and I wanted him to see them - they are shiny so tough to get a good picture of because of the flash)

And of course, the bag it all came in proved to be very entertaining too - Stella loved chewing on the handles!

So, we wanted to send a HUGE thank you to Jake and Fergie and their mom and Their Girl - it was so sweet of them to think of us and make those stones with all the pictures. I really adore them and plan to put them someplace very special (or carry them with me - I haven't decided yet because I kind of like the idea of always having the kitties with me, but I also want them to be somewhere safe!) We just adore all of you and these are all so special for us!

Well, that is all for today - don't forget that Meow Like a Pirate Day is on Sunday - we will be doing a special post that day! And oh, I am getting more caught up with visiting so hopefully if I haven't been by yet I will make it over today (I am going alphabetically and the second half of the alphabet seems to have a lot more blogs that I follow than the first half - and the first half took most of yesterday!)

Have a great weekend!

Flashback Friends on Friday

Hi Everyone! So my headache got worse, but today is better. But I got even more behind - fun! I ended up missing work yesterday because it was so bad - but finally it is gone. On Wednesday the idiots in our warehouse sprayed a ton of air freshener - which gave me a bad headache, which got worse by Thursday morning. Anyway beacuase of it I missed Mo Cats Day (I would have scheduled the post but the headache started on Wednesday and I wasn't up to computing), which makes me sad because I had pics to post - so I am extending and doing a belated Mo Cats Day tomorrow. Oh, and I have to tell you - Gus would be a great jewel thief. He takes my bracelets, and I just made a small chainmaille purse (my first) and he keeps taking it - most likely because it is jewelry-like. I put most of my stuff in a box, and it is making him crazy because he can see it (it is a glass top) but can't get it. He even climbs on stuff that no other cat will climb on to get to it. And Stella is still doing good. I talked to the vets office and he said it is because she has a layer of fat there that is gathered and it will go away in about a month. It sounds like Louise, her sister, has it too, so it must be a family trait! Barney goes for his annual check up tomorrow - I can't wait to see what he weighs - he seems to have evened out a lot - he used to be very pear shapped but is less so now - but he is heavy for his size (and he is a big guy) so I bet it will be a lot!

Because I am so behind everywhere (mainly visiting and email and getting posts together) this week I am doing a Flashback Friends on Friday! I just scrolled down and picked one - I hope you like it. It is from May 7, 2010, and I included all the other stuff that was with it. Enjoy!Sorry I am late today with our Friday friends post - things got really crazy this week and I am super far behind on everything! Anyway, on to our friends!

First we have the kitties from Chez Cat. They are Connor and Lizzie, and they live in Wisconsin (which is really close to where I live - about an hour to the border). They are both rescue kitties, and they are also both cuties! Please stop by and say HI!!

Next, we have our friends Curzon, Nimbus and Jadzia who are three big floofy kitties! You may recall Nimbus from the Kitty Fight Club - but we had to be friends with them because they have a kitty named Curzon, and so do we (although as I have mentioned a few times, our's is misspelled as Kirzon). The funny thing is that if Kirzon had been a girl he would have been Jadzia (if you watch Star Trek:DS9 that would make sense- I am not going to explain it here). If you get the chance and haven't met them, please stop by to visit!

That is our friends on Friday for this week - sorry it is late.

Oh, and if you are wondering how I pick - it is pretty random. I usually pick at least a week ahead and get it scheduled (I had picked and saved links this week - just hadn't written or posted it). I plan to go through all the blogs I follow (well, animal blogs at least) so I will be posting about everyone eventually!

This weekend we will be heading up to the vets - Kirzon is rubbing his mouth again so I want to catch it quickly. He is also shunning the crunchy treats a bit, so I am hoping his mouth isn't bugging him too much (he is still crazy for the soft). And I am taking Barney too - he seems to be doing well on his antihystimine, at least for his chin issues (he scratches it til it gets scabbed - it isn't kitty acne because he does it lower down, plus I have had the acne with others and it is different). Plus, and this is going to sound strange - I just want to have the vet check him out because is looks "bulgy" in his middle, but it doesn't feel like fat. He is very odd shapped compared to the other cats - it could be because he is only about 1 right now (speaking of which - his birthday is the 16th - we aren't exactly sure so I picked that day).

Friends on Friday

Hi Everyone, sorry for the late post! I am getting behind in visits again because work got nuts towards the end of the week (which stinks because I was so close to catching up) so if you haven't seen me stop by yet, well - HI!

Ok, so for this weeks Friends on Friday our first friend is Mona and her mom of the aptly named Mona and the Mommy Too! She is a doggie we met not too long ago through some of our other doggie friends, because she, along with all our friends at kissa-bull, are helping out a poor pittie who they found seriously abused in a parking lot. But the pittie is doing great now thanks to them! Recently they discovered that Shelby, the pittie, was pregnant (she was when they found her but didn't know it) and well, I just looked at my google reader and it looks like the puppies are coming - today! Now, Shelby lives with our kissa-bull friends, but their computer is broken, and since Mona and her mom are helping out too, they have been posting lots of updates on Shelby since she was found. Now, in addition to the Shelby updates, we of course also love to read about Mona - she is a wire haired daschund and a total cutie - and she always has lots of fun stuff going on too! So if you haven't met her, go and visit!

Our second friends this week are Xing Lu, Igmu, Nitro and Ed from meowers from missouri. They are four cool cats - so cool in fact that they even meow like pirates! Well, at least on Meow like a Pirate day, which is coming up very soon! Their blog is great in general, and it has lots of great Meow Like a Pirate Day info too! So be sure to stop by and say hello if you haven't met them!

Well, that is our Friends on Friday for this week. I hope all our East Coast friends are staying safe - we heard that even though Earl isn't headed straight that way he is still having fun beating up the area. And with Labor Day this weekend we will be super busy, so I don't think I will be doing too much visiting or blogging - so we all hope that you all have a wonderful weekend!!

Oh, I forgot - have you noticed our cool favicon in our url above - it is a cat in case you can't really tell!

Friends on Friday

Hi Everyone! Welcome to our Friends on Friday for this week. Sorry we are posting a bit late today - but since I put up the hippo pics later yesterday, I wanted them to have a bit of extra time at the top!

Our first Friday Friend is Keisha from Keisha the Spaniel! She is a cutie spaniel mix, and she lives with her mom and dad, and her friend D.R., and blogs about what she is up to in her life. She is a lot like us because she doesn't like loud stuff like vacuums and paper shredders - but even if she she wasn't scared of them like us we would like her anyway! Please stop by and meet her and say hello!

Our other Friday Friends are new friends, Henry, Buster, Daisy and their mom from The Teacher's Pets. They came up with the great Thankful Three Fur blog hop which we think is so cool. Their mom is a professional pet sitter, and thei have lots of great stories! If you haven't met them be sure to head over!

Thanks for stopping by our Friends on Friday this week! Don't forget to vote for our hippo's name - I decided to extend the voting til Monday - mainly because I have a ton to do this weekend so I wanted to be able to do a good post. So don't forget to vote for your favorite choice!!

Friends on Friday!

Hi Everyone! Welcome to our special Friday the 13th edition of Friends on Friday! I have always had good luck on Friday the 13th, so for me today is going to be interesting! And it should be interesting for you too, because today our Friday Friends post will be presented by two very special mancats - Barney and Virgil! Take it away boys - and no fighting - Virgil is first because he is older!

Ha! Hi everyone! It is me, the handsome young tuxie boy Virgil (not that Kirzon isn't handsome, he just isn't young MOL!)Today I want to talk to you about the most beautiful ladycat I have ever seen. It is the gorgeous ♥Danielle♥ from The Life of a Spoiled Cat, who is my lovely tuxie girlfriend (seriously if you see the pics of us together on valentines day, well, it will make you fall down from the cute!). Danielle is a beautiful tuxie girl from Wisconsin, and she lives with two rabbits - and she is really nice to them. She is also a bit naughty, which I find to be very exciting! She is a lucky girl, because she is allowed outside, and because she goes out she is very brave - she climbs up trees, and even has walked on ice in the winter! Her archnemisis (and therefore my archnemisis) is Mr. Chipmunk - a crafty critter who likes to mess with her - which is NOT COOL! He even sent some of his spies to our house, because he knows that she is my ladycat, and probably wanted to try and get to her through me - but that didn't happen! Anyway, mom is saying it is Barney's turn now - but I could talk about my beautiful Danielle for hours - which I think is why mom is telling me to finish up. So I guess I will just add that if you haven't met her yet you should - because she is awesome! Oh, and her blogoversary is coming up soon - which is cool because it is the same month as ours! Ok, now mom is poking me to get me to finish - so I guess here is Barney.

Hi everybody!! This is Barney, and I want to introduce you to the most beautiful ladycat that I have ever seen - see, Virgil and I have different taste (Danielle is a pretty ladycat and everything, but she is more Virgil's type then mine). So the ladycat I think is most beautiful is ♥Gracie♥ from Goodness Gracie. She is a gorgeous gray tabby girl from Indiana, and she actually has a job! Really a couple jobs! She is a repurrter for the Cat Blogosphere, she runs the auctions for The Furriends of the CB and she is also the shelter keeper at the Official VSquillion Shelter! Wow, that is a lot of stuff! Because she is so busy, she doesn't get the chance to blog everyday, but when she does it is always something great! She is a little bit older than me (like a couple months) but that is ok, because I am very mature for my age! She is super feisty, super sweet and super beautiful! And HER blogoversary is ALSO coming up soon, well in September which isn't too long. And she doesn't have an archnemisis, so well, I guess that I am pretty safe too. She picked her own forever home because she was a barncat and she decided that well, she wanted to be a house cat, so she went to hang out with some people who were there, and they because her mom and dad - yay! What a happy story! Well, ok, so mom is saying that I need to wrap it up, so I will just end by saying that Gracie is the bestest girlfriendcat, and you should all go visit her!!

Thanks boys, for those great introductions!! We hope that you enjoyed our Friday Friends today!

We will be busy this weekend with lots of cleaning at our house (mostly me of course) so if we don't get to do too much visiting, well, that is why! So we hope you all have a wonderful, fun, happy weekend, and we are sending lots of purrs and get well thoughts to all our sick friends out in the blogosphere!

Friends on Friday

Welcome to this weeks Friends on Friday post! Before I get started, I wanted to mention that tomorrow is our big Second Blogoversary post! And then on August 8 it is World Cat Day! On August 9 I have a special non-cat post for my parents anniversary, and at some point in there I will also be posting about this weekends vet visit for Kirzon, Gus and Lola and talking about a fun thing we are going to do!! Ok, so now, here are our friends for this week!!

Our first Friday Friends are Scarlett and Melly from
The Adventures of Scarlett and Melly! They started blogging back in April, when Melly first moved in to her new home. Melly was one of the kittens who was on Pitter Pats of Baby Cats as a foster - and her new mom was awesome enough to start a blog so we could all keep up with her! Scarlett is her older sister who, after eight years of being an only kitty, is starting to learn to accept her new little sister.

So, since we picked two sisters for our first friends, we decided to pick two brothers for our second friends - they are Milo and Alfie from The Cats Meow! Milo and Alfie are two adorable brothers from Sidmouth, UK, and boy they are so much like Virgil and Barney - they are like the proper English version (except they are allowed to go outside with harnesses). Alfie is a gardner cat and a very good one, and Milo is his older brothercat, who helps in the garden and protects it from introoders, and also is great at giving Alfie the business (geez, I think I watched too many Leave it to Beaver reruns as a kid to get that one). I know most of you probably already know them, but if you don't then be sure to go visit - we just adore them so much!! And heck, we consider them to be next in line at the Naughty Kitty Club - they have been there from the very begining!!

So, we hope you get a chance to visit our Friday Friends - next week we will be doing a very special post, with two very special ladycats (you know who you are!!)

Have a great weekend!!

Friends on Friday

Welcome to this weeks Friends on Friday! Sorry we are a bit late - it is our end of month at work so things are crazy! Because of that, I don't really have a theme or anything, I just picked two of the blogs we follow to feature!

So first we have our friends Tucker, Benny and Sadie from It's All About the Cats! They are three cuties from Wisconsin and they have lots of fun together. Their mom also is like me and will sometimes post non-kitty things (like a cute idea to use baby socks to make cat toys that I plan to do - I even have the socks, I just haven't done it yet) and a tasty bread recipe. We haven't seen too many people visiting, but they have been blogging for a while so if you haven't visted them be sure to stop by (seriously, they are all super cuties!)

Our next Friday Friends are Charlie O'Marley, Lola Fannola, and Thomas O'Toole from The Paw Relations! They are three cuties who live in England with their mom and they are total characters! Lola is like a young version of our Lola - she is a gray girl with a feisty attitude and Thomas and Charlie are two house panthers who are luckily able to keep up with her! And I just adore them - back when Floyd got sick and wasn't interested in eating, they and their mom send over some cat treats for him - just because they are so awesome. It was one of the sweetest things anyone has ever done and I still get a little teary thinking of how sweet and thoughtful it was to do. They are pretty familiar to a lot of the kitty bloggers, but you doggie bloggers may not know them, so if you haven't met them stop by!

On a different note, I just found out that one of my friends at works mom's dogs is quite sick - he is 13 and they are waiting to find out if it is just and infection, or if it is a problem with his liver. Please send out lots of purrs, woofs and prayers that it be just the infection, so that they can treat it, and keep your fingers and paws crossed too! They don't blog, so I thought I would just put it out there for them - the power of the paw is a pretty strong thing!!

We will be back tomorrow with a Lola update! Have a great weekend everyone!!

Friends on Friday

Hi Everyone!

Welcome to our Friends on Friday post for this week! Today we have a couple different blogs that help homeless kitties!

First, we have one lots of people know - The Itty Bitty Kitty Committee! They are pretty well known, but I had to post today because they are doing fund raising again this year for the dog-a-thon for The Humane Society of Tacoma and Pierce County. Now, we know it says Dog-a-thon but all the money raised by the IBKC goes to the kitties - last year they started with a goal of 2 thousand (or as they like to call it, 2 squillion) and ended up getting more than 20 squillion! This year they are trying for 40 squillion - they are pretty close but could use a little help. The money last year went to building a brand new quarantine room at the shelter!! My dad's side of the family is from Tacoma (my dad grew up there) so it is extra special to me to help them out!

Next we have a blog we just started following, that has only been around since March, called daily dose of dogs (aka cats with your coffee). This is a blog about cats and dogs who have been rescued - by someone doing this pretty much completely on their own. She takes in dogs and cats who need help - something that is just so amazing. Some of the stories will make you cry but they are all so good at showing how people can really be good.

We also have to mention a third blog we follow - Covered in Cat Hair. Robyn just (like this past week or so) decided to leave the shelter she was working with and strike out on her own doing rescues of cats and kittens in dire need. She, and the others above, are all great inspirations to me - I hope to one day follow in their footsteps!

Please, if you haven't been by, go to visit these three - they are all blogs with a great cause (and we know there are lots more out there who could join this group. I will probably list a few more next Friday!)

So this will be a quiet weekend here - I am reposting my July 25th post from last year - it would have been my mom's 69th birthday - the few days around that are always a bit tough. But we will be back on Monday - have a great weekend!!

Friends on Friday!

Hi Everyone! Welcome to Friends on Friday! I am posting this a bit late because I posted a picture post later in the evening yesterday, so I set this one for 8 am. This wsek we are featuring two pairs of kitty friends!

First, we have Ayla and Iza from Mark's Mews. They are two cute meezer ladycats who live with The Big Thing in Maryland. And boy, they are fun to read about! They are aged 2 and 3, and so they are still pretty young - and they have lots of fun together!

And next we have Hannah and Lucy, from the blog of the same name! Hannah is a floofy tuxie girl and Lucy is a short furrd tabby, and they are both rescues from the RSPCA in the UK! They were both adopted together, thoush Hannah is a month older than Lucy. They are also young ladycats and just recently turned one. They have only been blogging since March but they are already making a big splash in the CB!

So we hope you can take some time and visit them if you haven't already met them - we think you will love to read about them all!

Ok, and if you missed it there is a big post of pictures from us yesterday - be sure to check it out because Gus and Stella are getting huge, and they are only going to be 4 months old on 7/31!

Friends on Friday!

So, today I have a bunch of friends to mention - luckily it should be easy because one is a group with a bunch of blogs and the other is one that I think almost EVERYONE knows!

So first we will start with the group. It is Tiki and Mowzer of Tiki's Blog and Mowzer Land. They hadn't blogged in a while and then when they came back they didn't have too many visitors - it has picked up now, but the need MORE! And, they also have a birdy sister, Holly the Cutie Bird and Max, their doggy brother from Max Wuvs You. AND as if that isn't enough, Mowzer even started a super cool club (which we of course joined) called Wuv Kitty Klub. So, everyone go visit and comment at all their blogs and join up at the club too - show them the love!!

Our other Friday Friend is Daisy and Harley from Daisy the Curly Cat. Daisy's blog was one of the first we started to follow - and we have to say we love her and Harley lots. Now, if you click the link it will take you to one of our favorite features, which is "How does THAT Work", which is where Harley explains how stuff works. We adore all their posts, but if you are having a bad day, these are the ones that are pretty much guaranteed to make you smile (we have a bunch of blogs with stuff we go to on bad days, and this is one of them). We have asked Harley in the comments there to do one on Telephones - so if everyone visits and asks maybe he will do that for us!

So, those are our Friday Friends for this week - the rest of the weekend will be pretty busy but I am going to try and get some more pictures up. And, hopefully I will be able to keep visiting on Monday as I do - a lot of you know that I do visit from work, and there is some sort of firewall/software update happening this weekend and I fear it is going to include blocking a lot of internet sites (they did it to all the laptops already). Keep your fingers crossed for me!

Friends on Friday

So after a sad week this week I wanted to post about two new friends who make us smile. Well, really it is one family with two blogs.

First, we want to introduce Twinkie from Twinkie Tiny Dog|Teacup Chihuahua. Twinkie is a tiny rescue dog from Los Angeles. She has three good legs (and one not so good), but is still a spunky fun loving little girl. She lives with her sisters Frankie and Linguini and not only is there a great book about her but she also has her own advice column, which she posts every Tuesday! Recently, however, Twinkies home has had some invaders, who can be found at...

"Pregnant Cat Info, which is a blog following Farrah, a pregnant feral that was taken in by Twinkies mom, and her 5 adorable kittens. The kittens are about three weeks old today (I am writing this on Thursday - tomorrow will be three weeks). There are Pebbles and Puddles, two calico sisters, Trouble, a tuxie who they believe is male, and a fawn and fawn and white kitten - they don't have names because they are just not sure if they are boys or girls yet! They are all adorable and making great progress!

So, if you haven't met them, stop by - they are both great blogs and they will bring a smile to your face.

Also, I want to announce that on Sunday, Virgil will be turning two! We know he has a lot of great company, including America, so we are gussing a lot of you will be busy, but if you have the chance and can stop by, we are having a small get together. Since Virgil is the reason we started the blog, we wanted to celebrate his birthday with a little party. And yes, I know we didn't have a party for Barney but we will next year!

Friends on Friday

So this week we have a few friends who are known around the blogosphere - either by doggies, kitties or both! I have been trying to feature the less known blogs but honeslty today I couldn't remember who I had done so far and I was too lazy to go back - I need to print a list or something! Oh, and we have four today (well, one friend has two blogs, so it is kind of three +) - because it is my blog so I am allowed to :)

First, we have Debby at Homeless Cat Care. She cares for a colony of feral cats and her blog is about them and what is going on. She is a great resource for information on helping out ferals, and she does everything she can to help out these kitties who would have no one otherwise, which just makes her a hero in my book! Please go by and visit if you haven't met her before - we really love how she helps these kitties out (you can also donate there to help with the care of the kitties - she not only feeds them but she vets them, and even tries to socalize some to help them find forever homes - a great cause if we ever saw one!)

Next we have Remington, from The Life and Times of Remington who is a big Newfoundland from Minnesota. He lives there with his parents and a few kitties, including their newest addition Oz (you have to go back through the pics and see tiny Oz with huge Remington - sweetes pics ever!) who he helps to keep an eye on (though today is his first day off baby watching duty because Oz will be 9 weeks on Saturday - he could be a great boyfriend for Stella in the future!) Remington is young himself, only being about a year and a half old - but he is a great big brother to Oz and will teach him a lot!

Our third friend is actually kind of two friends, well, it is two friends, but it is also two blogs. See, Sammy and Andy from Sammy and Andy's Meowsville have another great blog where they have cute animal pics daily, called Cute Critters and it is a great place to get a cute pick me up if you are having a bad day. We love that there is a guaranteed cute pic every day there. We like Sammy and Andy too - they started the Kool Senior Kitties club, and they are both total cuties (Sammy could be Floyd's twin brother - along with a few other kitties on the CB). If you have a chance stop by and visit - expecially if you need a cute fix!

I will be back to kittens and cats again tomorrow - if you didn't see it I posted a couple videos later in the night yesterday so be sure to check them out!

Friends on Friday

Hi Everyone!! It is time again for our Friends on Friday post!!

Today, our first Friday friend is SoxyCat from SoxyCat! She is a beautiful ladycat and she lives with her big sistercat Patsy in New Zealand. She is also entering the New Zealand's Next Top Model Cat contest - how exciting is that!

Our second friend is one that we know a lot of you know already, but since we are planning to feature everyone we visit, even those a lot of you know, we thought this was a good time. Plus this way we aren't showing any bias in the Modelcat competition. So without further ado, our other Friday Friend is (well, technically are), Inigo Flufflebum and d'Artagnan Rumblepurr from Rumblebum! See, Rumbles (as D'Artagnan is affectionately known) is ALSO entering into the NZNTMC competition! So we wanted to be fair and feature both the entrants that we know (if you are in it and we didn't mention you but we follow you we apologize - let us know and we will mention it here) - we really hope they both make it to the finals (and then it is up to fate because we would like them both to win equally). Inigo, Rumbles brother, is the quiet, good kitty in the family.

Anyway, those are our Friday Friends this week - we hope that if you haven't met them that you go stop by! We will have more kitten craziness this weekend - they go for their first vet visit up here! Be sure to check it out!

Friends on Friday

***Hi All - I forgot to schedule this to post - I only saved it. Sorry it is late - the post starts below!***

Hi Everyone! Welcome to another Friendds on Friday!

Our first friend is actually a pair of friends! It is Nico and Jay Jay from Nico the Polymeezer! They are two kitties (and their mom of course) who actually just recently moved to our area! They used to live out east (and we followed them then too!) and they are cuties - and Nico is polydactyl too!

Our second friend is also a pair! It is Tiny and Lautrec from WeezDaBadCats! They live very far away in the Czech Republic! Their blog is about their life there - it is so neat to know kitties so far away!

So those are our friends for this week.

I will not be doing a lot of blog visiting this weekend (I haven't done as much as I hoped this week either) because we are getting ready for the kittens (which is why I haven't visited much this week either). I will try to at least get some pics of them up as soon as possible - if not Sunday, which is the day they arrive, then Monday for sure!

Everyone have a wonderful Weekend!!

Friends on Friday

Welcome to our Friends on Friday post! Today we have two more blogs of friends we would love to introduce you to!

First we have Mayzie from Mayzie's Dog Blog. Mayzie is a cutie rescue dog who lives with her family that includes her brother dog Ranger (also a cutie), and two kittys - Abby and Ripley! She has only been in her forever home for a little more then a year, and these are her stories about her life with her new, loving family!

And our second blog today is Sagira from Sagira's Blog. She is another doggie (must be doggie day today) who lives with her brother Sammick and sister Starr at their forever home. And Sagira does agility training and is awesome at it! Oh, and did I mention that she is also a rescue dog - even more awesome!

Well, those are our Friday Friends today! If you have a blog I follow but haven't mentioned and would like to get bumped up in the Friday Friend's department (so I mention you sooner - otherwise I am just randomly picking - which could end up with me duplcating, so you know - I already am losing track of who I have posted about), please let me know. And if for some reason you visit but I am not following you (and you can check the list in the sidebar for that) let me know - I already follow like 400+ blogs - what are a few more!!

Friends on Friday

So today for Friends on Friday we have a mix! First, we have our doggie friend Princess Luna, fromLittle Princess Luna an adorable little chihuahua mix! She was born in 2008 (like Virgil) and she is very tiny and cute - and looking for a nice doggie boy to call her own. She is pretty new to the blog world, and has only been blogging since March. She has a sister named Coco who has a hurty leg right now but they are taking good care of her and hoping it will get better on its own. If you would like to meet Luna (especially if you are a young, single, cute boy doggie) please drop by and say hello!!

And then there is Cheryl, a beautiful Cornish Rex from Totally Kitty. She just lost her brother, Jimmy, to FIP and Cheryl got the news that she is also showing the same antibody levels as her brother when he had to go to the bridge. But right now, she is feeling good, and is still playing with her mom and just enjoying life. We think she is awesome and could use lots and lots of friends on her side to help send lots of purrs so she can stay healthy as long as possible. So head on over and meet her too!

Well, that is our Friday Friends post for this week - we are already working on our next one - who knows - you could be next! (And actually if you would like to be next feel free to let me know - it is tough to pick a lot of the time!!)

And don't forget - this Sunday will be our special post for Barney's first birthday!! We know it will be a blast!!

Friends on Friday

Sorry I am late today with our Friday friends post - things got really crazy this week and I am super far behind on everything!

Ok, last week I introduced you to some of our kitty friends. This week I decided to go with some of our doggie friends! I love dogs and if we had a fenced yard I would have one in a heartbeat! Right now I just visit with my aunt's dogs (she has 3 Cavaliers) or Brad's parent's dogs (I have to get pics of them to put up!). And visiting all my dog blog friends is a great way to get some dog experience too! And I did have a dog growing up - Benji the beagle. I loved him so much - he was just so sweet and adorable (and totally knew the cats were in charge). Quick Benji story - when it would storm I would usually go sleep in the basement because it was always really bright in my room (I went through a no-curtian phase). So one night I was down there and it was storming. His bed was down there (he used to sleep in the laundry room at night and was fenced but when he was older and better behaved he got to stay out but still slept downstairs because he liked it down there) and for some reason I woke up and heard him drinking - at first I didn't think anything of it, but then I realized the sound was coming from his bed - and his food was in the laundry room still. Having no idea what was going on I sat up and turned on the light - and the basement was flooding! He was trying to lap up the water (which is bad because it was sewer back up - but he didn't get sick or have any ill effects). If he hadn't done that we wouldn't have known til morning! I was able to go over the back of the couch (it hadn't reached that far yet, but he wouldn't walk through the water - I ran up and got my parents up, and my dad carried him upstairs. Dad was able to save some things before the water got to them - all because he woke me up by drinking! Ok, back to Friends on Friday.

So, first let me introduce you to Tegan at A Whiter Shade of Eskie. I follow quite a few Eskies - they are so cute and floofy! You will get to meet them all eventually, but I decided to start with Tegan, well, because I did. Tegan has a kitty brother named Grommit, who is also very cute. If you get the chance, drop by and visit!

And our second doggie friend we would like you to meet is from One Pibble's Wish. One Pibbles Wish is actually about lots of dogs - rescue dogs! And also about Charlie and Lucy, who are rescue dogs themselves! So be sure to check them out too!!
