Since it has been quite a long time since we have been active, we are going to be Under Construction for a while - trying new fonts, designs, and updating our sidebar stuff. Hopefully we will get it how we like it soon so it won't change too much!

Also - Can someone tell me how to get rid of the giant gap below this notice - I cannot figure out how to do it - thanks!!

Flashback Friends on Friday

Hi Everyone! So my headache got worse, but today is better. But I got even more behind - fun! I ended up missing work yesterday because it was so bad - but finally it is gone. On Wednesday the idiots in our warehouse sprayed a ton of air freshener - which gave me a bad headache, which got worse by Thursday morning. Anyway beacuase of it I missed Mo Cats Day (I would have scheduled the post but the headache started on Wednesday and I wasn't up to computing), which makes me sad because I had pics to post - so I am extending and doing a belated Mo Cats Day tomorrow. Oh, and I have to tell you - Gus would be a great jewel thief. He takes my bracelets, and I just made a small chainmaille purse (my first) and he keeps taking it - most likely because it is jewelry-like. I put most of my stuff in a box, and it is making him crazy because he can see it (it is a glass top) but can't get it. He even climbs on stuff that no other cat will climb on to get to it. And Stella is still doing good. I talked to the vets office and he said it is because she has a layer of fat there that is gathered and it will go away in about a month. It sounds like Louise, her sister, has it too, so it must be a family trait! Barney goes for his annual check up tomorrow - I can't wait to see what he weighs - he seems to have evened out a lot - he used to be very pear shapped but is less so now - but he is heavy for his size (and he is a big guy) so I bet it will be a lot!

Because I am so behind everywhere (mainly visiting and email and getting posts together) this week I am doing a Flashback Friends on Friday! I just scrolled down and picked one - I hope you like it. It is from May 7, 2010, and I included all the other stuff that was with it. Enjoy!Sorry I am late today with our Friday friends post - things got really crazy this week and I am super far behind on everything! Anyway, on to our friends!

First we have the kitties from Chez Cat. They are Connor and Lizzie, and they live in Wisconsin (which is really close to where I live - about an hour to the border). They are both rescue kitties, and they are also both cuties! Please stop by and say HI!!

Next, we have our friends Curzon, Nimbus and Jadzia who are three big floofy kitties! You may recall Nimbus from the Kitty Fight Club - but we had to be friends with them because they have a kitty named Curzon, and so do we (although as I have mentioned a few times, our's is misspelled as Kirzon). The funny thing is that if Kirzon had been a girl he would have been Jadzia (if you watch Star Trek:DS9 that would make sense- I am not going to explain it here). If you get the chance and haven't met them, please stop by to visit!

That is our friends on Friday for this week - sorry it is late.

Oh, and if you are wondering how I pick - it is pretty random. I usually pick at least a week ahead and get it scheduled (I had picked and saved links this week - just hadn't written or posted it). I plan to go through all the blogs I follow (well, animal blogs at least) so I will be posting about everyone eventually!

This weekend we will be heading up to the vets - Kirzon is rubbing his mouth again so I want to catch it quickly. He is also shunning the crunchy treats a bit, so I am hoping his mouth isn't bugging him too much (he is still crazy for the soft). And I am taking Barney too - he seems to be doing well on his antihystimine, at least for his chin issues (he scratches it til it gets scabbed - it isn't kitty acne because he does it lower down, plus I have had the acne with others and it is different). Plus, and this is going to sound strange - I just want to have the vet check him out because is looks "bulgy" in his middle, but it doesn't feel like fat. He is very odd shapped compared to the other cats - it could be because he is only about 1 right now (speaking of which - his birthday is the 16th - we aren't exactly sure so I picked that day).

Sorry to hear your headache was back, but glad it's on it's way out. MOL at the little jewel thief you have. Scooter(RIP) used to steal my bras. She was such a whacko. We will go visit your furriends. Happy weekend!

Mom and The Other One also get headaches when they get the allergies. Oh, and they both get grumpy :) I'm glad you're feeling better.

Headaches are the worst! Glad it's easing off.

Mr. Scouty is a sock thief and I find them in the strangest places!

I can only imagine how bad such a headache can be. Blad it's over. Gus sounds like such an amazing animal! I bet he would make a good predator if he needed to be one. And I hope Barney might have lost rather than gained. Thanks for always being so conscientious about blog posting and commenting.

For those reading this, please visit my blog about a colony of abandoned/feral cats near my home. There will be stories there as time goes on that could inspire and inform anyone you know who is helping or plans to help homeless cats anywhere.

Thank you,

The Late Quigley the Demon Dust Bunny Hunter aka Thief Cat whisper from across the Rainbrow Bridge whispers, "Never ever tell them where your stashes are. I suggest that you keep at least three in case they find one by moving furniture or some such silliness!! Isn't it fun to hid things!! I once stole a die from under my ex-daddy's nose why he was rolling for a silly game! hehehe!

Sounds like Gus is rather clever! Better keep him away from street cats or you might get a thief gang starting!

Hope your mummy feels better soon.

Goodness, why in the world would they spray so much air freshner?? No wonder you had a bad headache. Mom said she probably wouldn't be able to breathe. Glad to hear your headache is better. Poor Gus, just can't get at that pretty purse. Have a great weekend.

Hi Amy
I hate a lingering headache...thank goodness it is gone. I can remember times I've had to leave work due to painting or such...why can't they do that on the weekends??

Headachs are the worst! So debilitating and unrelenting! Glad to hear it is better now. We visited the Cavalier Rescue and voted for your cousins. Gus sounds like you need to give him the "Crime Does Not Pay" lecture before he ends up doing time!

Hope you are feeling better. That is funny Gus steal things. Our Sweetpea pulls things out of partially open drawers. Don't worry how often you get back to us - we all have busy lives and care for families and critters.

Yuck...headaches are awful. Some people just don't think when they do things like that and make others have headaches. :(

Oh our furry paws, you need to get on a beta blocker drug like Mama. She hasn't had a migraine in over 2 years now. She would get migraines from everything cause she's allergic to so many things and has that chemical sensitivity thingy too. Lots of smells would trigger a migraine. But not anymore. Email us if you want to know about the drug she's taking. Hope you have a nice Sunday.
