UNDER CONSTRUCTION!

Since it has been quite a long time since we have been active, we are going to be Under Construction for a while - trying new fonts, designs, and updating our sidebar stuff. Hopefully we will get it how we like it soon so it won't change too much!

Also - Can someone tell me how to get rid of the giant gap below this notice - I cannot figure out how to do it - thanks!!

We're back! (Sort of)

Well, it will officially be some time tomorrow - today I have a special repost to do, but that will be in a minute. So I wanted to give you a quick update first. Work stinks, my mouth hurts, the cats are great and really brave lately considering how many storms there are. So I haven't been on since last week - I went to the oral surgeon on Tuesday and he had to cut out my broken tooth - turns out is was a lower wisdom tooth so it hurt like CRAZY for the next few days (and let me tell you I wasn't super happy with the oral surgeon, but luckily I don't need to go see him again - not like a dentist). Then because I was so behind and because I was in the mood I did a ton of kitchen cleaning this weekend - I get in a cleaning mood like once and month and just have to go with it - usually if I am cleaning I am super not into it but sometimes I just go nuts. The cats are always fascinated by it. We have had a lot of storms lately and other than Lola, who hides under the sofa (at the edge but still under) sometimes, the rest of them did great - even Kirzon, who was afraid of storms for a long time. Barney was extra snuggly while I was home recovering. And now I am feeling better - not perfect yet but close. So hopefully I will be back to visiting more tomorrow - today I have a headache and am not in a big reading mood - plus work was crazy today. So hopefully I will be by this week!!

And now, for my special repost. The other thing about today is that it would have been my mom's 70th birthday today (which seems crazy to me that she would be that age - she was 52 when she passed away).  So this is a repost of the post I did 2 years ago, on what would have been her 68th birthday - it isn't long but it has a cute picture in it. See you all soon!!

So Today would have been my mom's 68th birthday. So I have been doing everything I can to stay busy today, to keep my mind off it. My mom loved animals - she had a dog named Misty (a Chihuahua)and when Misty died we got our cat Putter, who had babies, including Mog who we kept, and then we got a beagle, Benji. I wanted to post pictures of her with them (since this is generally a blog devoted to animal posts) but I could only find one of her with Misty - my dad spent most of his pitcure taking time on me I guess. i know there are others of her with Misty somewhere but I can't find them. There are pictures of her but there just aren't animals in them, in fact most of the animal pictures are just them, no people. Anyway in honor of my mom's birthday, here is a picture of her with Misty, in front of a snow-Misty she built. It was taken around December of 1969, which is the year my parents got married, and 2 years before I was born, so I am not in the picture. I wil be back to my regular cat blogs tomorrow, including an update on Barney's vet trip today.

Good to hear from you. Those wisdom teeth sure do hurt. I had 2 removed and I'm afraid to go back to do the other 2 now. :(
