UNDER CONSTRUCTION!

Since it has been quite a long time since we have been active, we are going to be Under Construction for a while - trying new fonts, designs, and updating our sidebar stuff. Hopefully we will get it how we like it soon so it won't change too much!

Also - Can someone tell me how to get rid of the giant gap below this notice - I cannot figure out how to do it - thanks!!

A Present for Trixie!!

Hi Everyone! This is Trixie - mommy is letting me post today!! First, mommy wants to say one thing though, then I get the blog back - go ahead mommy!

Hi All - well, as you may have noticed this week got crazy - work is nuts and giving me headaches, and it isn't even that I am super busy. Anyway, I wanted to say that I am seriously done complaining about work here this time - you all know how much I hate it and it stresses me out, and you know that if I am not visiting or posting much it is the likely reason. Add in the cleaning last weekend and well, this is a bad week. So, from now on, if I don't visit or post, just assume that it is the job, I am really trying to find a new one and will mention if that happens, but otherwise all work complaining will go in my I hate work blog (that I really need to finish just getting set up). Ok, thanks for letting me vent Trixie - be sure to let everyone know how much we miss and love them all right now and that we are going to try super hard to visit next week for all of us - ok!

Ok mommy, I am sure all our wonderful friends understand though. So anyway - back to my posting. The other day mommy came in the house with a box - a perfect little Trixie sized box I thought. But I didn't think it would be for me - I just knew it was a cute little box. But then to my surprise, mommy told me that it WAS for me - it was a special surprise from my handsome big brother (well, big in size at least - we are born around the same day most likely) Leo the Chinese Lion!!  For those of you who don't know, my brother Leo and I were found by our wonderful foster mom Chrystal last year with our other sisters and our cat mom. Chrystal saved us all and Leo and I were lucky enough to find our perfect forever homes (mom said it was very tempting for her to take both me and Leo but she knew that eight would be insane for our house - so she is very happy Leo found such a great forever home!) We are very different looking - he is a big, handsome, gray boy with and awesome floofy tail (mommy said he kind of reminds her of a smaller, grayer, extra toed version of Floyd, my adopted big brother who went to the bridge before I was even born).  He has a sister, Star and they have their own blog, Celestial Kitties (if you haven't been over there be sure to stop by!) But the funny thing is there are a lot of things that are alike about us - we are both known to roll and even fall off things, we both were not fond of the TV at first, and we both have similar toes (among other things).   Even though I have a lot of new brothers and sisters here, Leo will always be my special, true brother (and of course our sisters will always be my special true sisters).

So I have to tell you I was so excited to get a present from Leo. Mommy opened the box for me and oh, there were TOYS! Wonderful toys for ME because he is my awesome brother, and he read about how my favorite pink mousie got all wrecked and he just is so sweet he wanted to send me a new one! And so he asked his daddy to go and his daddy did and he couldn't decide, so I got a BUNCH of cool mousies! I will probably even share them (well, some at least). And there were other things too - sparkle balls (which I love) and jingly balls (which well, anything jingly is automatically awesome!)

Ok, so he also included a letter just for ME! It was about how he was reading our blog and saw about the mousie, and since he also likes to wreck toys he understood how it was and how if he was here he would have been the one who wrecked it (which of course would have been ok with me because he is my brother and everything) and how he knows how the toy destroyer at our house feels (my guess is that it is they enjoy it, because honestly I like to destroy toys too!)  So he sent me these awesome mousies - I love them - thank you so much Leo!! And I will have to share - well, at least one of the green mousies - because Stella and I kind of destroyed Barney's special mousie from Gracie, so we owe him one.

And oh yeah, I had mommy take pictures of me with my new toys - that way Leo could see me enjoying them and checking them out (I have to appologize because I am not a big fan of the flashy part so I do tend to look kind of squinty in them - but still cute!)

So, that is my exciting week - what a wonderful surprise! I am going to have to find something to send to Leo I think - maybe my brothers here will have some good boy suggestions!

And now, here are the pictures - I hope you like them. Mommy's hand and leg are in them sometimes, and there are some shadows and blocking from the strap - mommy had to keep trying to get the others out of the pictures and so that is why they are kind of like that (and Stella did get into one of them - she is a toy thief!) So I hope we see you all soon - we love and miss all of you!!

Leo says: Oh YAY! You got your box of goodies! You look so cute with your new pink mousie!!
Don't worry about squinting at the flashy flash, I do that all the time too. Mommy's always saying that she can't get a good picture of my eyes, but I don't care, I squint anyways!
You can share with your new siblings, it's fun to share sometimes.. hee hee
Glad you like yer stuff!

Andrea says: It's so funny that you were thinking about getting Leo with Trixie, because before you got her, I was thinking that if I were to get two, I'd want her!I think poor Star would be way too overwhellmed with two extra kitties though, so I am glad we just got Leo. Like you, I'm so glad Trixie got a wonderful home too!
We need to get the word out on how wonderful this family of kitties are so that Chrystal can get adopters to take the other sisters too! They all deserve wonderful homes, someone out there is the perfect place for more of them!

Trixie, that is so exciting to get a package in the mail all for you! Your brother Leo is one swell guy. We know how it is about special colored mousies; Sylvester hogs all the red ones in the house!

What a great present, Trixie! And how sweet that you and your real brother stay in touch. I wonder sometimes if Scarlett and Melly had littermates, and if they did, what happened to them.

Have a great weekend!

It looks like you are enjoying your new pink mouse, Trixie! :) I'm glad you have such a sweet brother.

My Carmine loves his fishing pole toy a ton. He also loves his catnip fish, pumpkin, and carrot. :) He is a very happy boy when he rediscovers where he last left them!

Enjoy your pink mouse :)

Oh wow, look at all those lovely mousies. What a lovely big brother you have to send you all those wonderful toys to play with. Mummy says she sure knows how your mummy is feeling re the work thingy. Mummy does lots of moaning about her too. I don't mind her moaning as long as she dishes up the noms as the same time :)xx
