Happy Third Birthday Virgil!!

Hi Everyone! We are going to do a repeat today for Virgil's Third Birrthday today, because things are crazy around here. I hope to get to visiting everyone later this week, but right now I am working on getting the house super organized (I haven't even been online since Wednesday last week for more than a couple minutes). I know there are a lot of our friends out there who are not doing well right now so we are sending out tons of purrs and prayers. So anyway, for Virgil's third birthday today I decided to repost his second birthday post! We also have in the next few days a post about a surprise that Trixie got from her brother Leo! I will have more on that in a few days - but right now I need to eat my lunch so I can get back to cleaning (Brad's cousin is in from Sweden so I am trying to get the house nice so he can come over and visit - that is why it is a bit more crazy then normal). So anyway, without further ado, here is our Virgil's Second Birthday Repost (and thanks to everyone who already wished him a happy birthday on our old post - I am getting this one up late!)

Today is the day that we celebrate Virgil's Birthday, and today he is now Two Years Old!

Last year for his first birthday, Ann at Zoolatry made him some cute pictures - one was age specific, but this one wasn't so I thought it would be ok to use again.

Our blog started because of Virgil. We thought it would be a great way for our vet's office to keep up with him (and the others too) while he grew up. Little did we know that it would be a great way to meet so many awesome friends! Here is a picture of Virgil, from some time in 2008, working on the blog, to make sure I am keeping it how he likes it.
We brought Virgil home when he was just about 4 weeks old - a tiny little guy! But he was a total cutie and full of spunk - he was able to hold his own with three much older and much bigger cats! Here is a picture from his first day home.
So this year, for his second birthday, we decided to have a party for him and invite all our friends - nothing too big, but something to show him how much we love him and how glad we are he is a part of our family! Since he is born on the 4th of July, we went with that as the theme. The decorations are in red, white and blue - we hope you all like them!
Since Virgil is a picky eater, we have a big assortment. He isn't a huge fan of people food, but one of the things he love is whipped cream!
He knows that there are a lot of kitties and doggies out there who do love people food so he thought he would be sure to have a nice selection - we have a tasty spiral ham,

sliced turkey,

and a lovely cheese tray - the moms and dads can even have some of this one!

Of course, for himself, and any other kitties who don't like human food, there is his favorite - Fancy Feast!

and for any doggies who might prefer some kibble we have that too!

Also, we have Virgil's favorite kitty treats, TEMPTATIONS!

And some doggie treats too!

We have niptinis for the older cats

and milk for the young ones

Water for our doggie friends (and any kitties too - and of course the doggies are welcome to try the niptinis!)

For any moms or dads who choose to hang out (and you are all welcome of course) we have tasty sandwiches
and yummy, fruity drinks - with or without a little kick, if you know what I mean!

Of course, no birthday would be complete without a cake!

For entertainment we have some of Virgil's favorite toys for everyone to play with. We have

And of course lots of catnip!


And we did't forget our doggie friends either - we have toys for them too!

And, while Virgil loves seeing all his friends on his special day, and playing and having fun, one of his favorite things on his birthday is seeing his beautiful girlfriendcat, Danielle, who is his most special guest today!
