UNDER CONSTRUCTION!

Since it has been quite a long time since we have been active, we are going to be Under Construction for a while - trying new fonts, designs, and updating our sidebar stuff. Hopefully we will get it how we like it soon so it won't change too much!

Also - Can someone tell me how to get rid of the giant gap below this notice - I cannot figure out how to do it - thanks!!

Friends on Friday

Ok, last week I introduced you to some of our kitty friends. This week I decided to go with some of our doggie friends! I love dogs and if we had a fenced yard I would have one in a heartbeat! Right now I just visit with my aunt's dogs (she has 3 Cavaliers) or Brad's parent's dogs (I have to get pics of them to put up!). And visiting all my dog blog friends is a great way to get some dog experience too! And I did have a dog growing up - Benji the beagle. I loved him so much - he was just so sweet and adorable (and totally knew the cats were in charge). Quick Benji story - when it would storm I would usually go sleep in the basement because it was always really bright in my room (I went through a no-curtian phase). So one night I was down there and it was storming. His bed was down there (he used to sleep in the laundry room at night and was fenced but when he was older and better behaved he got to stay out but still slept downstairs because he liked it down there) and for some reason I woke up and heard him drinking - at first I didn't think anything of it, but then I realized the sound was coming from his bed - and his food was in the laundry room still. Having no idea what was going on I sat up and turned on the light - and the basement was flooding! He was trying to lap up the water (which is bad because it was sewer back up - but he didn't get sick or have any ill effects). If he hadn't done that we wouldn't have known til morning! I was able to go over the back of the couch (it hadn't reached that far yet, but he wouldn't walk through the water - I ran up and got my parents up, and my dad carried him upstairs. Dad was able to save some things before the water got to them - all because he woke me up by drinking! Ok, back to Friends on Friday.

So, first let me introduce you to Tegan at A Whiter Shade of Eskie. I follow quite a few Eskies - they are so cute and floofy! You will get to meet them all eventually, but I decided to start with Tegan, well, because I did. Tegan has a kitty brother named Grommit, who is also very cute. If you get the chance, drop by and visit!

And our second doggie friend we would like you to meet is from One Pibble's Wish. One Pibbles Wish is actually about lots of dogs - rescue dogs! And also about Charlie and Lucy, who are rescue dogs themselves! So be sure to check them out too!!

Thanks fur sharing the khanines!

AND the khanine story!

Mom has her own to share - her furamily moved to York in the spring of 1972 - in June, Hurricane Agnes hit Central PA - the sump pump was far from sufficient to keep the water level in chekhk in the basement - Mom found their dachshund Frankie floating on the khristmas tree platform like it was a surfboard/life raft -
