UNDER CONSTRUCTION!

Since it has been quite a long time since we have been active, we are going to be Under Construction for a while - trying new fonts, designs, and updating our sidebar stuff. Hopefully we will get it how we like it soon so it won't change too much!

Also - Can someone tell me how to get rid of the giant gap below this notice - I cannot figure out how to do it - thanks!!

Updates!

Hi Everyone! So I still haven't had a good chance to go visiting but hope to start today (I forgot I would have to catch up at work since I took Friday off).  So I know I am super behind and don't really have a good plan to get caught up but I will figure something out and hope to see everyone soon.

So a few updates. Trixie is doing great. She wants to jump and play but I am trying to do my best to keep her resting - she has climbed onto Brad's bikes a few times (she is the only one small enough to do so) but luckily that involves going from the floor to a chair to the bike, and she is allowed to jump chair height - but I still try to stop her for now. She is still tiny - only 6.25 lbs when I dropped her off. It is nice because Virgil is tiny too, well, compared to everyone else, so he isn't alone in being small. Of course she could end up having a big growth spurt, but I don't really think she will. She is a total sweetie and snuggles with me pretty much every night (though last night she was upstairs and I had Kirzon, Barney and Stella all snuggling). She gets along with all the cats which is great. Gus still keeps an eye on her, and he is the only one I have seen her actually washing so far. Since Stella hangs out with Barney a lot I think he likes having her as a companion.

Lola is getting calmer with everyone which is great - she even sits by Kirzon sometimes (and he lets her which is more shocking - he used to leave most of the time she would sit by him). She doesn't mind the other cats near her, and her tummy is doing good so I think she is happier again (well, she was always a bit crabby, so she is back to that at least).

Barney is just his normal happy, crazy self. He will be 2 in May - how crazy is that! And Virgil will turn 3 this year. I can't believe how fast the time is going. They are both loving that the birdies are back and every morning they sit in the front window and watch them. Stella usually joins them and so does Trixie. Kirzon is usually cleaning up any food they didn't eat so he hasn't joined them, and Gus usually just kind of wanders around checking everything out.

For me things are still crappy at work, but that is never going to change - I keep looking and hoping though.  And when I get home the cats always snuggle, so that is great.

I have a bunch of pics I need to post and posts to catch up with and hopefully will get them up soon. I also need to get new pics of Trixie post-op, since she is a ladycat now, instead of a girlcat (well, kind of at least).  I have finally figured out the easy way to tell who is who between Trixie and Virgil from the back, when you can't see their face or toes.  Trixie has a white stripe on one of her back legs (shoot, can't remember which) so if you see that you can tell. But still, sometimes I am not sure. She squeaks like Virgil, and she is so much like him - just a bit rounder, and of course with more toes. Their faces are different, but if you see them and not the face or feet, it is tough to tell.

Ok, that is all for now. I hope everyone is doing ok.

Oh, wait, Hugo - Hugo has been at his most recent stop for quite a while - he isn't lost, he has just had a brief pit stop. That actually worked out good for me since I had to take my visiting break.  So I will have a Hugo update very soon for you all!

Oh, and I wanted to mention that if you have a smart phone you should look for the PetSaver app - I just added it to my phone (I have a windows phone and am guessing that the others have it or something similar) because it has first aid advice and you can keep info on your pets in there that could be helpful (I haven't done the full thing yet but so far I find it to be helpful). It is for Cats and Dogs (that is all so far) and has some good info - I think it would be good for me to have if something happened and I freaked out because it is info in one place. It will also show you vets and things around your location (so if you were not home with a sick animal you could look it up that way). I am not sure who came up with it but it is good. I found it because I was trying to think up and app to try to create (I want to try it at least once) and I thought of pet first aid, but first I decided to see if there was one already - there is. It has a pay and a free version, so you can check it out before you decide to buy it.

Ok, this time I am really going. Like I said I hope everyone is doing ok, and I will be visiting you hopefully some time this week. I am still not sure how I will go about it but I plan to try to see everyone! Have a great rest of the week!

(Quick update - decided to go in order of most posts missed to least, that way the number will go down quicker - so it isn't any sort of "we like you better" thing - it is just how many posts. Just to let everyone know!)

I am amazed that everyone gets along pretty well. You are so lucky. Tucker still crabs around and hisses at Sadie nearly every day.

Thanks for the tip about the app. I am getting an iTouch at the end of the month and will soon venture into the app world.

Thanks for that great update. Sorry we haven't been to visit you either. Too much to do. Glad everyone is doing all right and that Trixie is all right.
I was wondering where Hugo was. I thought about him. I enjoyed visiting him when I knew where he was.
Take care and get some more snuggles.

You may think Trixie is small, but she is still bigger than I am! The last time I was weighed, I was 5 lbs., 12 oz.

Glad everyone is doing so well and getting along...that is such marvelous news.

Relax about visiting, we so understand your situation at work and though we miss you, we hate to think you are stressing about getting around to everyone. Visit when you can, we won't forget you and we check your blog for news all of the time.
