UNDER CONSTRUCTION!

Since it has been quite a long time since we have been active, we are going to be Under Construction for a while - trying new fonts, designs, and updating our sidebar stuff. Hopefully we will get it how we like it soon so it won't change too much!

Also - Can someone tell me how to get rid of the giant gap below this notice - I cannot figure out how to do it - thanks!!

Trixie update

Hi Everyone! Trixie is home and doing good. She did very well with her surgery, and she was really eager to get home (she knocked her water bowl over at the vets and got both herself and her blankie wet - this is the kitty blankie that goes with anytime they stay at the vets).  She was very purry when I took her out and she got in her carrier pretty well (especially for her - usually she is a totally crazy person). Once she was in she cried the whole drive home and kept trying to get out, and now she is back sleeping in another carrier - identical but that was home. That always makes me laugh - they want out so bad and then they go right back and sleep in it. There hasn't been too much hissing - usually there is quite a bit after a vet visit, even between the non-vet visitors (Virgil to Barney, for example) because there is vet smell in the house, but they have all been pretty good - only 2 or three hisses so far. Gus has been keeping an eye on her - he does that a lot anyway. So now I am going to try to convince her to come up and take a nap with me (ok - I spoke too soon - Stella just went over where Trixie is napping and has hissed a few times and is growling - and just gave Trixie a bop, which just got her yelled at) because I didn't sleep too well the past too nights - the first night Trixie slept on me which was great but meant I was a bit uncomfortable, and of course last night I worried about her (which is normal). So I hope to get her up here to nap with me. Thanks to everyone for all the good thoughts - I am planning to get back to visiting again next week and hopefully back to posting more too - I think work shoudl be calming down now that the new fiscal year started. So I will see you all later!!

I'm so glad Trixie is doing well. What's the latest on Hugo - is he lost?

We're glad Trixie is home and recovering well!

There's never been any hissing here from cats that have been home, while others are at the vet, even when poor "angel" Annie spent 5 days/nights at the clinic back in January. The boys gave a sniff when she came home and that was it.

Good Girl Trixie. Glad the operation went well. Hope all settle down quickly. No fun to have hiss and growl sessions around the house.
