UNDER CONSTRUCTION!

Since it has been quite a long time since we have been active, we are going to be Under Construction for a while - trying new fonts, designs, and updating our sidebar stuff. Hopefully we will get it how we like it soon so it won't change too much!

Also - Can someone tell me how to get rid of the giant gap below this notice - I cannot figure out how to do it - thanks!!

Just a quickie!

Hi Everyone! I hope you are all having a good weekend. This is just a quick post. There is going to be an emergency auction at the CB Auction Site for Shell, an kitty who has had a crummy life (and let me tell you that is an understatement - I literally cry every time I am there thinking about how bad her life was - she kind of makes me think of Skelly and Shelby if you are a dog blogger and are familiar with them - I know that most of the cat bloggers have probably already seen her mentioned at the cat blogosphere but the doggies out there might not have read about her), but who is now living with a wonderful woman who is trying to help her to get health and survive. So if you have the chance head over to check it out starting on March 11 (the site can be found here - they are doing one for Bugsy and Gracie right now). We have something in both the Bugsy and Gracie auction and the Shell auction (week 2), so that is extra incentive to head over there - even if you don't bid on our stuff.

So the other thing I wanted to post about is Trixie. She is doing so great now - not afraid of the TV at all.  And boy, she is so silly when she rolls - she goes from standing to laying on her back in one motion. Problem is she doesn't always plan well, and will do it sometimes standing on my chest while I am sitting up, and she will keep rolling - lucikly I am quick and have always caught her. She did it one time on the stairs and rolled down to the next one - she was fine but I now make sure if she looks ready to roll that I pick her up if she is near the stair - she does it sometimes when I am standing nearby and usually isn't going to fall, but now I double check (I was luckily there to catch her if she had gone any further down - but she was able to stop herself). Kirzon really is doing so good with her and even Lola is doing ok - they must know she is something special because with everyone else they would hiss and growl (and Lola still does sometimes, but usually only after being riled up by Barney or Virgil) but with her they are much nicer. It is weird and it is nice too.

Ok, that is all for now - I am so busy getting stuff done I just wanted to get the info up. And oh, be sure to go visit Hugo - the link is at the top of the page and I will post it again tomorrow in a post (I am rushing so I don't have time to get in and get it now).

Oh, and thanks for the nice stuff on the new header and background. I hope everyone can see the background - the kitty names in light pastels on white. When I looked at it from work it was a lot harder to see because the screen settings are different than my laptop at home. So let me know if it is too light. Also let me know what you think of this font. I am trying to find the one I like and am not sure about this one yet. Thanks!!

We want to see a video of Trixie rolling. MOL!

We like the background, it's unobtrusive. It's quite light on the mom's laptop here at home, she'll have to check it out at work too!

We did read about Shell's life and yes, like you it brought tears to Mom's eyes. God Bless the woman who is taking care of her. So glad to hear that Trixie is not afraid of the TV anymore. Mom smiles when she thinks about her rolling on her back in one movement. Bet she looks really cute doing it. Glad she has you to watch out for her when she is on the stairs. So glad that Kirzon and Lola are being friendly to her. Sure hope you all have a great week.

It sounds like Trixie is settling in with the other cats very nicely!

Forgive us, please, but we think you asked...

There are 7 kitties in the banner but 8 listed below it.

We are sad that Hugo has passed out of the CB (not your fault).

The font doesnt matter any.

We want to know what the kitties are doing.

We probly regret posting this...

I'm liking the new layout. My mom says the color of the font could be a little darker, but what does she know? She's old and needs glasses anyway!

We love the new look blog ~ it's much easier on the eye than the black background.

We are sending healing purrs for dear little Shell, and all those in need. Mom can't visit the blog 'cos it will upset her too much.

The background names a very faint on my screen but I love the concept! Visited the auction, thanks for the link.

It is wonderful that Trixie is being accepted so well by all. We are surprised the the 3 youngest have formed a terrible trio of kitties...but what do we know we are woofies!

I love the new background and header, noticed it right away. Someone is very talented.
I have a ? for you, I work with a rescue that closed last fall and we are starting it back up again next month. I have a ChipIn on my website but I am having trouble getting people to donate. Should I try begging? We need everything and are a 501c3 non-profit so we survive on donations. Any help would be appreciated greatly.

I have been reading about Shell. She reminds me of an older version of Winnnie. I've tear-ed up more than once over Shell. I'm looking forward to her auction.

You completely made my day reading about how well Trixie is doing. She sounds unbelievably happy. I couldn't be happier for where she is!
