UNDER CONSTRUCTION!
Since it has been quite a long time since we have been active, we are going to be Under Construction for a while - trying new fonts, designs, and updating our sidebar stuff. Hopefully we will get it how we like it soon so it won't change too much!
Also - Can someone tell me how to get rid of the giant gap below this notice - I cannot figure out how to do it - thanks!!

Quick Non-Cat post
Ok, so I had to post this while it was happening - it isn't a cat post but oh well. So I was flipping by the channels waiting for Will and Grace to start this morning, and I landed on WTTW, our local PBS station (WTTW - your Window To The World - get it?) and they had an add on for a kids show (and this is a little kids show, not like a tween show), and the music in the background - lyrics removed - was "Alcohol" by the Barenaked Ladies. Now, am I the only one who finds this a bit disturbing? Cause that is not a kids song. I mean the title alone. I hate when ads do that - use songs that aren't really appropriate to advertise something - like when Target used "99 Red Balloons" for an ad a few years back - awesome, a song about nuclear war to do a happy ad! Ok, there will be another real post later, I just had to get that off my chest!

That's just nasty--we don't watch much TV here because of things like that. We DVR a few shows and fast forward over commercials.
I know , we sure have to be aware, don't we? They slip in sexy stuff and whatever they can.
You and your fur babies have a nice Christmas.

Mama agrees with you Amy...it is disturbing. Mama has been a huge PBS fan forever, but she gets alarmed at some of the things that appear on ours at times now.

That's terrible! There are so many other age-appropriate songs out there that they could easily choose something else (even a royalty-free song if money is an issue)!
Eeeep!! This is why I didn't let the kids watch tv without me until I'd trained them how to take apart commercials & programs. I still do that with them even though they are now 14 (15 in March) & 17 (18 in August) when we're watching a show together, although now they often speak up first!! I'm so proud of them! I do have to say that I am more concerned about violence than sexual innuendo but neither is appropriate for the under 13 crowd!!
Gosh. Let's just hope the kiddies didn't realise the background music was this music! Take care

But speaking of...do you ever watch Minute to Win it? My dad's paintball team member was on it last night. hehe
