UNDER CONSTRUCTION!

Since it has been quite a long time since we have been active, we are going to be Under Construction for a while - trying new fonts, designs, and updating our sidebar stuff. Hopefully we will get it how we like it soon so it won't change too much!

Also - Can someone tell me how to get rid of the giant gap below this notice - I cannot figure out how to do it - thanks!!

Thursday in the Garden and Thankful Fur Three!

Hi Everyone! Welcome to our Thursday garden post, and the Thankful Fur Three bloghop!

So this week the garden is doing ok - some of the plants that should have sprouted didn't (which didn't surprise me since the seeds were more than a year old), so I decided to change them out. And the chives, well, the chives fell victim to someone pulling them out. So when they didn't come back, they were changed out too. The thyme isn't looking great, and it was the first to sprout (it isn't horrible though), but the mint is looking great. Below are some pictures of the cats while they were doing their inspections. I especially like the one of Stella looking at the camera like "mom I am busy" - it is a bit blurry but it was too cute not to post!! And there is a cute one of Barney that just makes him look like he is really enjoying smelling the plants - that was blurry too, but again, also cute! Oh, and if you are wondering about the box of trash bags in the background in the first picture, it is an attempt to keep the cats from jumping up and bothering the plants when I don't want them up there - it is to fill in the empty space behind the garden. It does work at least a little! This week it was Gus, Stella and Barney who were doing the inspection. I hope you like them - and don't forget to check out the bloghop portion below!

Before I get into the bloghop part, I wanted to let everyone know that I have still been having issues with blogger and reader, and it sounds like some of you are having similar problems. I am hoping that when I start to visit today they will be suddenly fixed, but I am not sure - so I will visit as much as I can!

Ok, here is the bloghop!

So,for those of you who either forgot or didn't know, Thankful Fur Three is the fun blog hop started by our friends at The Teacher's Pets It is pretty easy, and super fun - here are the guidelines, and the links for everyone participating are down below!

I like to keep things simple so here are the 3 guidelines FUR the blog hop:

1. To join in the Thankful Fur 3 Thursday, include your link in our list, follow the hostesses (The Teacher’s Pets and my lovely friend, Maggie Mae) in the first 2 spots and WE PROMISE TO FOLLOW YOU IN RETURN and then start blog hopping! Visit other blogs on the list and comment to give them some blog love. Then take a minute to follow them through Google Friend Connect – this is a good way to keep up with other blogs, but also lets us show support to each other! Please DO NOT list your giveaways here, links must be to either your homepage or your Thursday posting with your blog title. All others will be deleted.

2. When people comment on your blog and let you know they’re a part of Thankful FUR 3 Thursday, return the favor and follow them back. This way everyone gets traffic and followers out of participating, and it’s a win-win situation. We would think it was pawsome if you grabbed our Thankful FUR 3 Thursday button and post it on your blog and/or in a post but please don't feel obligated to do so! The more bloggers that find out about Thankful FUR 3 Thursday and participate, the better!

3. Remember, YOU can host the link list on your blog too! Just click “Get the code here…” at the bottom of the list.

My mom is always so impressed when she can see people actually grow things. Only thing she can grow is hair (and she donates it) haha.

How cute! Our chives are going crazy!! Unfortunately, our tomato plants have been hijacked by raccoons!

Those are great pictures of both the cats and the plants. Love seeing the kittens although they aren't kittens any more. Next week I will have to remember to do the Blog hop.

I had some very minor problems yesterday with blogger. And just now I experienced a lock out and Firefox telling me that Reader wasn't a trusted website to visit. Real odd.

*sigh*

YOUR pictures are terrific and I love the photos of the of the kitties sniffing the herbs.

We like your garden! Our mum needs to get something like that for us - she has been trying to grow catmint for us and it doesn't even get to the size of your plants before she kills them!

The fourth picture of Barney is so sweet as he squints and sniffs; and that picture of Stella, priceless! We can so see the eyeroll, mol!

I love your little garden! And the kitties are so cute, checking it out.

That's cool to have a herb garden on a table indoors! I see the three kitties are all smelling the mint (or what looks like mint). Apparently, mint it related to catnip, so no wonder they are getting off on it.

I agree, the pictures are very cute indeed! And not blurry at all.

The garden seems to smell as good as it looks! You have a great start on the fixings for pesto, and mint julips, and all kinds of goodies! The supervisors look like they approve.
