Since it has been quite a long time since we have been active, we are going to be Under Construction for a while - trying new fonts, designs, and updating our sidebar stuff. Hopefully we will get it how we like it soon so it won't change too much!

Also - Can someone tell me how to get rid of the giant gap below this notice - I cannot figure out how to do it - thanks!!

Hi Everyone!

So, I talked about another fun announcement I would have up today, and while I don't have pics yet, I thought I would make the announcement.

So many of you remember when Moo and Baa came to visit last year, and how we had so much fun with them. But Moo and Baa have retired, and well, we thought it would be fun to come up with our own version of Moo and Baa!

So, a couple weeks ago I got an adorable hippo from Baby Patches store Nip and Bones and thought it would be fun if he were our version of Moo and Baa!

For those of you who don't know, basically what happens is someone gets the hippo (who needs a name still) and he spends a week visitng, and whoever he is with posts the pics at their blog, and then the person picks the next person (usually the first to say they would like him to visit). Usually he arrive bearing some gifts (a few treats or toys - things like that) and there is usually some sort of album included - so you put in a picture and a little note, and some sort of tiny keepsake from your area (with Moo and Baa it was a dog tag - I kind of like that idea because usually they are small and pretty inexpensive). Then the person sends them on to the next person. So, there is a little cost involved (shipping, toys, etc) but it is pretty minimal. It is kind of like paw it forward, in that you get gifts and send gifts to the next stop!

So later, I am going to post about the hippo and at that time, if you would like to be his first host, let me know and I will send him along!

Also, so far we have only had one taker for Paw it Forward - so we are hoping for 2 more who want to play - please let me know!!

Other than that, lets see, the cats are crazy, Gus and Stella are playing all the time. The cool thing is that Virgil is starting to play with them more. Virgil has also gotten a lot more snuggly (mostly with Brad - booo!) since Lola has her own room. I don't get that but hey, I like it. And Lola is doing ok - she isn't always thrilled to be in her room but we try to spend time with her a lot, and she does seem to be much happier when we are in there (but she does still meow at the door sometimes). We usually try to let her out for at least a little while, and I also will allow one cat at a time to visit her for a short time. However yesterday she was out and Brad forgot to shut her door, so Virgil has sneaked in. When I put her back in there I didn't know he was in there and so he was in there for a couple hours! I couldn't figure out why he hadn't come down for dinner - I thought he was just asleep, but now I know why! So when I found him I took him down to be sure he got some dinner of his own. And both seemed ok - Virgil is the one who harasses Lola the most, so I was surprised they were both so calm. I have no clue where he was hiding when I put her in there - but he had to have been asleep or something!

Anyway, I will have more hippo info later - pics and stuff, along with cat pics, and well, if you have any name suggestions that would be great - if you want to see what he looks like you can see him at Baby Patches store HERE. He is the small one.

Oh, and I am having some weird computer issues - for some reason my mouse keeps registering two clicks when I only hit it once (has been for a few days) so even though I have been visiting, if I haven't commented it is because I accidently closed the page (I usually open like 10 at a time to visit and think that it is registering two clicks and closing two at a time sometimes - it has done that to me with Outlook like 20 times in the past two days, which is so annoying - because I keep having to get back into outlook and it can take a while!

Ok, well, I will see you later!

Oooh, we would love to be hosts for the hippo (we love hippos and sing that song at Christmas)! If your looking for names, how about Jessica after that video of the hippo in Africa?

We're glad that Lola is adjusting. It's funny that when Virgil was locked in her room they were calm. Maybe Lola is mellow in "her space" and Virgil responded to it?

I believe in your MY COMPUTER you can set (or reset) your mouse clicks to either slow up or down. You might try that Amy.

What a cute idea with the Hippo!

Oh Lola we are so glad you are adjusting!!

Yay!! Well done Virgil and Lola!! So glad to hear they got on well together - maybe Lola is getting more relaxed now that she's affecting Virgil too - as in he's chillaxin as well! And he's playing with Gus and Stella, so that's all good!

Awwww what a sweet lovely pink hippo!! My first instinct was to call hippo, pinky but then maybe that's just really obvious!! I look forward to seeing where sweet hippo will go to first - what a fun idea!!

Have a lovely Thursday - I hope your pc behaves itself soon!

Take care

We love the idea of hosting Harmony (?) the Hippo or whatever his/her name ends up being! Lola seems to be calming down a bit which is good and the babies are beginning to really be accepted by everyone. Wonderful news all around!

The hippo idea is really cute! It sounds like fun. We're looking forward to seeing future posts about it.
