Stella and her prize!
So a few weeks back, our doggie friend Mayzie had a cool contest to see if we could guess what her DNA test said her breed was. Not only were there prizes, but for every guess she and a bunch of other awesome doggies donated to their local shelters! Well, the donations were the coolest part, but the next coolest part, at least for us, is that Stella won a prize in the contest! See, Stella had just moved in a few days before, so she and Gus both took a shot at guessing - and were right! Turns out Mayzie is part boxer (the DNA showed that she has a grandparent who is a boxer). So for guessing right they were in the drawing - and Stella's name was picked! She got the second prize but it is a super cool one - it is a neat shirt from This Good That Bad. It says "Adoption Good, Homeless Bad". So I tried to get her to model the shirt (it is my size but it is her prize so I wanted to have her at least sit near it), but well, Stella is young and hasn't gotten too good at modeling yet. But I did get some pics of her with it, so here they are!

So young and already Stella is getting out the word that Rescue Rocks! Wear that shirt with pride (at least until Stella grows into it and claims it back. :)
A big passion of mine, to help find homes for cats in shelters. I used to volunteer at our local shelter so I know first-hand how important it is to get the word out. Hope the t-shirt works. Deb =^..^=x5

Thanks Barney for visiting today. We must have been on the same page as I wanted to visit with you but the mom got busy and you can now see what time it is that I am finally able to visit with you. You are the only one that I am seeing today. I miss visiting and hope things will soon slow down soon. I have a contest in mind and will get working on that maybe end of next week. Think it will be fun.

Mayzie rocks and I love her blog! So, Stella won, huh? I tried, I really did, but I'm a dufus when it comes to breeds. Anyhow, I just wanted to tell you, that I, Twinkie Twinkerson Conchita Tripod Chalupa De Los Perros, absolve you of any comments on my blog. Mom said you give her the best info via emails or comments on Farrah's blog and I know how crazy comments can get, so... I hope this isn't taken as rudeness but more like gratitude. That's so cool that Stella won! We guessed boxer too (well, our mom did!) so we're glad to know the answer. And that T-shirt is the best!
That is so cool!!! It really rocks. Only one of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Kitty Horde was a shelter kitty. The others were all rescued.
In other news...I so wish I could find a good forever home for the large dog who lives next door. She would need retraining because she is very aggressive but I think with that she would be a sweetheart. Right now she's normally chained in the yard or locked up. ::sigh::
