UPDATE: Sadly the news for Maxie is not good. He is going to go home to spend his last few days with his family before he is helped to the bridge. We send out lots of purrs for his time left to be good, and for him to be comfortable.

We are so sad. We can't help thinking that if the vet made the mistake he should have sorted the surgery for free ~ it's disgraceful that such a terrible thing should have happened and then the family have the worry of the cost. And nothing can put right the suffering of dear little Maxie.
We are purring like mad for Maxie and his fambly.

Maxie will be met by our Milo who went to the Bridge this morning. May his last days be filled with joyful remembering and love, not sadness. To share a quote from Dr. Seuss (which Cappy the Eskie shared with us): "Don't cry because it is over. Smile because it happened." May Maxie and his family find comfort in the arms and paws of all of us in the blogosphere who care and understand.
