So as I mentioned, we were lucky enough to win one of Peggy's Hairy Blankies in the contest that The Monkeys had at their blog. Well, the blankie arrived on Wednesday, and we opened it Thursday - didn't end up getting any pics of that part because the cats were busy being goofy. I took it on the couch to open, and literally as soon as it was out of the box I had a Barney climbing on my lap. I put the blankie over him and he went to sleep - and when kittens came to investigate he was totally fine - didn't even budge. Then later (I ate dinner and had to move Barney), I had the blankie in my lap (already suspecting it's magical properties) and he came and climbed right in. Then Stella and Gus came and snuggled in right next to him - Stella's back was even touching Barney's back! No growling, no fuss - it was awesome! And the blankie itself is gorgeous - I have to get pictures still (though I did manage to reach the camera and get one of the three kitties together). Oh, and if you see this and think "why aren't there pics here" well, it is quiet at work so I am pre-typing this for Saturday and scheduling it. We also got our Casbah Kitten certificate and so I will be taking a look there this weekend to see what to pick for the kitties. And of course today is the kittens first vet trip - wish us luck! We will have an update on that with pictures later on!!

Wow, that MUST be a magic blankie. I can't wait to see photos! Especially photos of Barney (::whispers:: becuse he's our favorite).

Hmm...before, I would have said that we need one of those magical blankets, but now, it seems that Tiny doesn't need one...she is always coming and sitting next to or on me!! Do you think she is 'on' something? I'm almost worried as it is soo out of character for her to actually even consider laying next to me muchless to actualy do it!!
