UNDER CONSTRUCTION!

Since it has been quite a long time since we have been active, we are going to be Under Construction for a while - trying new fonts, designs, and updating our sidebar stuff. Hopefully we will get it how we like it soon so it won't change too much!

Also - Can someone tell me how to get rid of the giant gap below this notice - I cannot figure out how to do it - thanks!!

This is cute!

So we were visiting our friend Chloe Honeygo Beasley (a cutie Bichon Frise)and she had a really cute post about the difference between pilling a cat and pilling a dog. Since Barney suddenly decided he didn't like the pill pockets anymore and wouldn't eat the one with his pill, and then when I tried it in his food (it worked once before) he just ate around it, so I had to go old school with it, it seemed extra funny today. And like I said over there - really, that explanation makes pilling a cat seem a lot easier then it is. Add to that giving Kirzon the liquid stuff and it makes for a fun evening! I am getting different pill pockets tonight (I had salmon and chicken - the chicken we went through but the salmon are the ones he liked then now hates) and hope it goes better this time. Anyway, you can go over to read it at Chloe's blog Here!

My mom said, and I quote, "Ain't it the truth?" She would also likes you to let us know how he likes the new pill pockets cuz Brudder Ripley as decided he doesn't like the salmon ones either. (I thinks they're DEE-lish and I don't even takes pills.) So mom and Brudder Ripley have this fun wrestling game every night with Brudder Ripley AND mom yelling out all sorts of words that I can't repeats here.

"Pill" is a four-letter word. We all hate pills! Mommy's pretty fast though, so we don't have too much struggle, well, maybe a little.

We have had many pill problems here too. I had one cat who isn't here any more, that sometimes it would take an hour to get the pills down her. Some of it was really funny. We would go round and round the bedroom, she would spit it up, I would put it back in, and she would spit it up.
Anyway, I never tried this, but would peanut butter work??
Hope you can figure something else out

LOL!!!

Thank you so much for that link - very, very, very funny!!! I love the "take pill wrap it in bacon and feed to the dog" bit!! LOL!!!

My tough ol' girl used to take her pink antibiotics without any fuss. But her other three pills and liquid stuff - she hated them and fought me tooth and claw!

Good luck with Barney and Kirzon's medication routine!!

Take care

When I gave Austin his pills, I had to keep switching it up - in a pill pocket, then in his food. He kept figuring out where the pill was & would eat around it - my other cat, JayJay thought I was giving Austin treats, so in one instance he ate it (never called a vet so fast in my life!) Finally I had to start picking him up & literally shove it down his throat. Yep, that was fun - had bite marks & scratches for my efforts... But we do it because we love them. :)

We don't have to take any pills here, but mama can imagine the wrestling that would ensue if she ever had to! Thanks for sharing!
