UNDER CONSTRUCTION!

Since it has been quite a long time since we have been active, we are going to be Under Construction for a while - trying new fonts, designs, and updating our sidebar stuff. Hopefully we will get it how we like it soon so it won't change too much!

Also - Can someone tell me how to get rid of the giant gap below this notice - I cannot figure out how to do it - thanks!!

Stuff!

So, I have some pictures posted below - they are terrible because they are from my cell phone, but they are awesome because they are of Kirzon and Barney snuggling together.

For some reason I am having a hard day today - actually since last night. I am so happy that Grayson, the kitty who needed a home, has found someone. I saw it right before bed last night, and I could not fall asleep because I was so upset about it. Then I was thinking about it on my drive to work and was crying in the car. I was already thinking that if for some reason he didn't get a good home by the end of today that maybe we could take him. I am glad he did find someone to take him because I think adding an adult cat to our group would be very tricky, but I just couldn't stand the idea that his owner died, then he would have to be put to sleep. And when I read his post the line "Nobdy wants me because I am 3" just make me loose it - even typing it now just makes me cry. I mean, I know it was a person who wrote that but I always worry that animals might really feel that way - and it makes me so sad. Sorry to be all depressing - there has just been so much sad news lately in the blog world.

Anyway, here are a bunch of pics of Kirzon and Barney snuggling. Barney is actually laying on top of him - they were very cute together!

I will have better pictures in the next few days - taken with a real camera!

Those photos are just precious--and they are actually very good! Most cell phone pics I see are quite grainy, but those have great resolution.

Grayson was very young to be so unwanted. What tears me up even more are the senior cats who come in to a shelter, who end up being euthanized. :-(

But I'm not going to end on a sad note; it's absolutely terrific that Grayson has found a forever home! Yay!

Perhaps because I'm relatively new to the Blogosphere, I have not found it to be depressing, in spite of the recent sad losses of cats and dogs. I actually find the Blogosphere a great escape from the Yahoo cat groups I belong to, which mostly deal with cats in dire ill health. We all need something fun and positive to balance out all the cr*p!

Awwww they are absolutely adorable pictures...sorry you were feeling so bad. My heart goes out to those animals who's owners have passed away or who are dealing with illness that forces them to give up their animals. I so wish that there was an organization that specifically helped out in that situation.

I know exactly what you mean about Grayson. We took Tiny when he was 10ish (Squashies was 5) 3 is a varitable kitten. I cried about it too; how confused he must have been that his mommy left him so suddenly. When I saw Brian's post today I jumped up and down.
I purray it works out for him and his new fambily.
You are a dear soul!
I think the pictures are great.

It's so disheartening sometimes, isn't it, how great the need is, and how limited we are?

All we can do is what we can do (ha, I'm so deep) and hope that it makes a difference in the future. I guarantee you that your helping to get the word out about Grayson is worth more than you can know.

You have a kind heart Amy, which is very obvious from your posts...I find sad animal news more depressing than sad human news=I guess because to me, animals are the most innocent souls on this planet...BTW, I hope you realize your blog does a lot to help animals other than your own; I contributed to Misty's fund because you posted about her needing surgery...Awesome photos=Kirzon and Barney are really adorable together!!...Take care of yourself; maybe cuddling with Kirzon and Barney will make you feel better!

Oh those pictures are just priceless! I'm really happy for Grayson too, like you I thought about it but I know I can't without a job right now it's hard enough keeping up with the 3 of us at the house (me, tygana and my boyfriend) he works and I'm still looking for a job it's so hard. My first line of business when I get a job....adopt a cat. ^_^

Very sweet photos. We have made a plan for my Mom's cat when the time comes. me or my daughter will take him in. He is 9 and my daughter has his sister and brother. My Mother is 88 and in fairly good health, so we don't have to be concerned, yet. Some family's do make plans.

You and our mom are a lot alike! It's ok to get sad because you are a very caring person. We are so glad the story has a happy ending. Praying for happy endings for all the pets needing homes.

Love the pics!

We're glad that Grayson found a furever home! Our mommy wants to start an organization that helps pets left behind when the owner dies. She hopes to do it this year cause stories like that break our hearts.

I am so happy that Grayson found a home. How could no one want him because he is three???? Our sweet Ollive, she is my niece, was added to our family one year ago today. You can read her story at her place, Cat Naps In Italy. There is a link at my place. She was seven when her forever mom took her with her to go and live in Italy.
Love the photos and especially my dear Barney. I took a photo with me to add to my photo album I have with all of his sweet photos in it. I wish I could snuggle right in there with him. He is soooooooo cute.

The story made us very sad too, then very happy to know he found a home. My mom is very saddened by these situations and would love to know if there was a rescue organization in the US that specializes in cats or dogs who have lost their humans to death or severe illness. I think there is one in the UK.

We love those photos, they are very preshus.
We are so pleased that Grayson found a noo home. Mom gets so upset abowt these things she can't even read the stories abowt them wivout crying buckets. So she tends to use avoience tekneek as a way of protecting herself.
We can't bear to think there are so many elderly cats who don't find homes ~ it doesn't bear thinking abowt.

We love stories with happy endings. . . like Forever Homes! If we had more space (and more monies) Momma says we'd have LOTS of brofurs and sisfurs that nobuddy else wanted.

As for the snuggling: CUTE!!!

we love all the photos! and we are very happy about grayson as well! Mom says right now we're really glad we have a tiny condo, because she'd probably try to take in all the cats and dogs she could help. Dad would PROBABLY disown her.

These photos have put a smile on my face. It must be the crying in the car on the way to work day yesterday. I agree Grayson was very young-I am so happy to hear he will have his own home again.

I am happy that they found a new home of their own.

I often wonder how animals feel as well. We foster dogs and I always get upset when I give them to their new family because I don't want them thinking we are just another family that didn't want them. But we have to let them go to a new family so we can help another in need.

Cute snuggle pics! :)
