Sorry about the lack of posts here and at the NKC - it has been crazy with the holiday! The weather alone made things interesting (first ice storm, then rain that melted the ice and snow, then lots more snow then we expected - all since last Wednesday!) and the busy of the holiday just made things crazy. Add to that the crazy cats and you get very distracted! We all hope everyone is doing well and had a great Christmas!
I will have pictures of the kitties with their presents later today. They got lots of great toys and treats, and were very excited. Even Lola played with stuff, and she is super lazy most of the time.
There was a bit of naughtyness mixed in however. I got some treats for my cousin's dogs for Christmas, but forgot to take them with to my aunt's house(they are totally spoiled so they didn't miss them I am sure). They were in a box that had the lables and stuff I had taken off the cat toys, along with some packing paper (and if you are interested, it was a box from Suppliesjust4pets.com - I think everything still smelled like catnip in the box) and I thought that having stuff in the box would mean they wouldn't go in - was I wrong. They pulled the paper out (Kirzon claimed it as a nap spot) and have been hanging out in the box - and trying to eat the doggie treats (they are safe but still, just rude). I realized this when I saw Barney sitting in there licking his lips. I decided since I won't see my cousin I would give them to Brad's mom's dogs, and I put them in a zip top bag so they won't dry out and put them up on a shelf that none of the cats have ever been on before. Well, we went out and when I came home I noticed they were gone - and found them in the cat tunnel with lots of holes in the bag (but no one got all the way through at least). So I put that bag in another zip top bag, and put it in a different location (same shelf but different area) so Brad would remeber to take them with him. Plus, I didn't think they would try anything while we were home and someone was nearby. Well, I forgot how naughty the kitties can be because they were gone again this morning - this time under the stairs, but no one got into the bag. I have caught Virgil up there a couple times (I think they get him to do it because he is the smallest and so it is easiest for him to get up there) while the treats were not there.
There was, of course, the usual naughty stuff too - playing with the tree, trying to climb the tree, trying to get stuff in the sink, jumping on counters, etc. But this was a new one for them.
Anyway, I will be trying to get all caught up as best I can this week - I am sure the new year holiday will mess that up too.
I will have the Christmas pics for you later on!

Hope the holidays were good despite the storm - all we got was rain, but I woke up to snow this morning.
I stuff the nip nuggets full of cat nip last night and I'm going to gets some stamps after work today. I'll send them off first thing tomorrow!
We totally understand! Mom was terrible at visiting this weekend!
LOL - those naughty kitties! My brother just got a cat for the first time, and he tells me about it's antics all the time. I love your blog header!

Hope you guys had a pawsome Chrissymouse! Can't wait to see some pics!
we understand you
since friday, we can't blogging normally :(
When they want to they can get into or onto any place they want. i heard a crash a couple of days ago and went to investigate. i found a bottle of Advil in the floor and a cookbook. The cook book was on top of the fridge and the bottle was on the counter by the fridge. No cat was around, but I knew Angel was still laying on the couch.
Hi Amy that is too funny about the kitties finding the dog treats and trying to open them. My brother in law had two sibling cats years ago. He used to tell us they could open their own food and they could one would stand on the bag while the other tore at it with her mouth. Too smart for their own good. Thanks for you kind comments. I have been truly amazed by everything he makes.

Don't worry about the lack of posts. We have all bee at that crazy stage and your weather has certainly made things "interesting."
As for the dog treats, those are very enterprising kitties!!!
Totally understand seems like around the holidays there is no time for anything but rushing
Hee hee hee....sounds like they were just having fun. Isn't Christmas about having fun?
Thanks for stopping by my blog, I hope you visit again soon. You kitties seem to have some fun adventures. I didn't steal any gift treats this holiday but I DID keep trying to sneak off with a Starbarks stuffie mom got for my friend, Benny. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas, and wishes for a New Year full of happiness, surprises, and lots of love.
Sounds like it was a fun Christmas anyway! Can't wait to see your photos!
Happy holidays you guys! Mummy and daddy won't get a tree cause they know what would happen... we can't imagine what they mean! *innocent eyes*
