UNDER CONSTRUCTION!

Since it has been quite a long time since we have been active, we are going to be Under Construction for a while - trying new fonts, designs, and updating our sidebar stuff. Hopefully we will get it how we like it soon so it won't change too much!

Also - Can someone tell me how to get rid of the giant gap below this notice - I cannot figure out how to do it - thanks!!

I just keep repeating that I love the cats

So for the third time this week I came home to a lake of cat pee in the living room on the new floor. Sunday after the zoo, Tuesday and now today. I am not sure who is doing it (although I doubt it was Kirzon or Virgil). The quantity the first day made me think Floyd but now I am not sure. No matter who I am just not sure why - other than the fact that they are crazy. I put one of the Feliway Comfort Zone plug ins in the area and that didn't help - they moved a few feet over. The big thing is that they put their toys in it (or just pee on the toys) I am getting very frustrated. All the litterboxes are clean, so that is not the reason. So anyway, I am not in the mood to post much about the cats today, after getting home and getting to clean up cat pee for a while, so I am just going to post some pictures I tood recently. They are pretty cute. And if anyone has any suggestions on how to stop the peeing, please post them in the comments - I am at my wits end on this one.

When you walk into the room with pee on the floor, the cat that ran away is the one who did it. Wish I could help ya but I have no suggestions unless you catch one in the act. If you catch em, hold him down near the pee area (nicely, don't have to be ruff) and get your face close to his face and stare him in the eyes and say no sternly. Cats really hate to when you stare at them. Or if you catch him in the act, squirt him with water. I have a super soaker if you need one. :) I really wish luck with this.

Oh lord, I have no suggestions, but I certainly feel your pain! Nothing is worse than having to clean up a puddle of cat pee. Ugh!

Hopefully someone will have a helpful suggestion!

Mummy is strongly suggesting a visit to the vet - it could be an infection :( Poor kitties.

We hope they're all doing okay. I unfortunately don't have any suggestions except to remove access to the area for a little while...

I'd suggest a visit to the vet to rule out a UTI. One of my kitties has FLUTD so I have had to learn more about cat pee than any sane person should.

A cat with an infection will pee outside the litterbox because it associates the pain of the infection with the litterbox and will go somewhere else in hopes of relieving the pain.

The dangerous things about UTIs is that urinary crystals can form and cause blockage which can lead to very bad things including death. So keep an eye out for any more telltale signs.

If it's not medical you may want to try a new litter or litterbox, cats are fickle and it may have decided it just doesn't like that anymore.

I hope that helps, send me a note if you have any questions!

We have that problem with the cats in our home occasionally...sometimes they do it just cuz they are mad at you...that's when you find the pee on a shoe or on the stove or on the counter where you normally leave your purse. I stopped putting small rugs around the house, cuz they seemed to like to pee on them. When we have visitors, I have to tell them to close their doors cuz the cats have been known to pee on backpacks and could pee in a suitcase...yuck! Who knows why cats do the things they do...cats are just cats...they do whatever they want to do.
Good luck,
Bruce:)
