So we made a trip to the emergency vets today - Virgil seemed a lot more stiff. The took his temperature which was high (104.4) and so they did some blood tests. His tests were all ok except for a couple of the white blood cells, which were a bit high. But it wasn't the typical ones that would indicate infection, it was more ones that would indicate an allergy. So he currently has pain meds and antibiotics, and we are going to the regular vet tomorrow. I swear it seems like they are having problems all around the same time - I guess with 5 cats someone is going to have something going on. I have to try and keep him rested (he is laying on the floor now) and so I will have to keep Barney away from him. Other than that he seems tired and achy but ok. He went and ate a bit when we got home, and so that is a good sign. I will post an update tomorrow when we get back from the vet - I took the day off work because I knew I would have to take him.
In other news, since I was all gross from the past couple days i took a bath this morning before we left and Barney fell in the tub. Any other time I would have pictures but since we were trying to get ready to leave for the emergency vet I didn't really have a chance. He didn't fuss as much as I expected so that was good - I expected him to fall in at some point (he loves to hang out in the bathroom when I take a bath) but I expected a much bigger freak out. Once he was out he just sat in the corner and dried himself off.
There are no pics today because I didn't want to use the flash with Virgil right now - his eyes are super dialated. I will try and get some of the others when I have a chance.
Oh, I also wanted to add that Lola finally came downstairs - she was fine when she did. It is like she 1) forgot that she hated it down here and 2) didn't even notice the new floor. That didn't really surprise me but I thought it would be at least one more day before she came down.

Poor Virgil! I hope he feels much better soon!
poor Virgil, we'll pray and purr!
Kirby has fallen in the tub before ans I was afraid I would be scratched to pieces. He promptly jumped back out but let me know he thought I pushed him! We are sorry Virgil is feeling bad. Hope is is not serious! Yeah for Lola!
We're sending Virgil many purrs and we hope that he feels better very soon. He is such a cute guy - we hate to think about him feeling bad.
P.S. Franklin got in the shower with me once when he was a kitten. I think he just wanted to see what I was doing in there. He wasn't scared, just interested!
I hope virgil starts feeling better real soon.
We hope your regular vet can figure out what the problems is with Virgil and help him feel all better soon.
Falling into the bath... a rite of passage!
We're purring that everything goes well for Virgil!
I will be keeping my paws crossed that all goes well for Virgil.
