UNDER CONSTRUCTION!

Since it has been quite a long time since we have been active, we are going to be Under Construction for a while - trying new fonts, designs, and updating our sidebar stuff. Hopefully we will get it how we like it soon so it won't change too much!

Also - Can someone tell me how to get rid of the giant gap below this notice - I cannot figure out how to do it - thanks!!

Kirzon update

Hi Everyone. Sorry we haven't gotten to visit much - I am hoping this week will be quiet and I can do some visiting. I am so stressed at work now I just can't stand it. Anyway this isn't about me this is about the vet trip.

First things, I noticed on Friday night that Trixie's lip was swollen again, so I decided she should make the trip too. So in the morning I called the vet and they said that would be fine. I got Kirzon and Trixie into separate carriers and off we went. Trixie hated it and complained the whole time. Kirzon was pretty quiet. We got there and Kirzon got weighed - he is up a half pound which is good, and he got his shot. His mouth looks good so he is off the meds for right now. Then Trixie got weighed (8.5 lbs) and checked and she didn't have a sore but did have a little red dot like she might have bopped it with a claw, so she is on meds to help with that. Other than that it was pretty calm - well, except that Kirzon hid under the chair, so Trixie went to sit by him and ended up sitting on his head - I would have taken a picture but well, they already were not happy after the car ride. Trixie was totally brave at the vets, and she didn't want to get back in the carrier, but finally I got her in (Kirzon was easy of course because he didn't want to be there) and back home we went. There was surprisingling little hissing from anyone once we got home - they eat after vet visits (to prevent in car barfing) so I think that helps them get over the "vet smell" on the ones who went pretty quickly. So we are kind of in a watching phase right now. Kirzon had his shirt but kept taking it off so I finally gave up. Trixie seems fine - her lip was still swollen yesterday (I forgot to check this morning) but it doesn't bother her, so she should be ok. Everyone else is doing good - I will report more later I just wanted to update on the vet trip.

Like I said I am hoping to get some visiting in this week. Today is going to be tough but I think the rest of the week will be ok. I miss you all so much and really can't tell you how much I appreciate all your support and visit when I haven't been able to. I hope that everyone is ok and that you know how much you mean to us!!

Thanks for the update, Mom Amy! Don't feel bad for not visiting as much as you'd like--we know you're going through lots right now at home and at work and we're just glad to hear some good news for you and the House of Cats. Give everybody headbumps for me! (Scritches from AAB Blog Helper, too.)

Hi HOC! I've been trying to contact you but your email form doesn't work - on your profile page or on your HOC blog.

Sorry my mom's been such a slacker but she's been crazy busy with a movie she's been working on. She's done now and can get back to the important things- my blog and The Anipal Times!

Please send me your address so I can forward it to the Hills/Science Diet people to get you your free bag of food for commenting on my blog post!

Thanks!

Oh my gosh, how funny that Trixie and Leo both went to the vet for thankfully minor things around the same time? She weighs 8.5 pounds? Her big brother weighs in at 10.3 pounds! (star is 8.6 if I remember right)
Hope Kirzon gets better soon! And that Trixie's lip is ok fast!

We're so glad that the kitties are OK. Mamas worry so much when their furries are sick!

We're very glad that Kirzon is gaining some of his weight back! Half a pound is quite a bit, actually.
