UNDER CONSTRUCTION!

Since it has been quite a long time since we have been active, we are going to be Under Construction for a while - trying new fonts, designs, and updating our sidebar stuff. Hopefully we will get it how we like it soon so it won't change too much!

Also - Can someone tell me how to get rid of the giant gap below this notice - I cannot figure out how to do it - thanks!!

Just a quickie to let you know we are still here

Sorry we kinda disapeared. I was sick on Monday and back at work yesterday, where someone has something that just smells awful (kind of like cocoa butter with somthing mixed in.) Whatever it is gives me an even worse headache than I normally get, so I am posting this quickly before it totally sets in.

I will be trying to visit when I can but right now is tough - this is the last month of the fiscal year and that plus the headaches that make computers hard to look at are taking my time.

The cats are good. Trixie is a perfect little sweetie and I think that is why she is doing so well with the other cats. She goes for her last shots this weekend and I will post about the vet visit then. We will be talking about her spay surgery, which can hopefully be fairly soon, since she is a bit older than the other kittens when we took them in. She has had a little bit of an eye goop issue but it is allergy time so maybe she is just bugged by that - I am keeping an eye on it and will be talking to the vet as well. It doesn't seem to be bothering her at all, just a bit goopy sometimes.

The other cats are good too - they are excited that the birdies are back from their winter vacations. Gus is a total dog - he loves to rip his toys apart (always has) and has discovered that the pompom balls Virgil loves are super easy to shred - so I will be keeping an eye on that one. He is the first cat I have ever seen rip a toy apart to play with - he ripped the head off one of the plague ratsies, and he pulls the fur out of the honeysuckle toys and the feather parts off anything with feathers. He doesn't eat them, because I find the bits, he just likes to pull them off for some reason.

Ok, the smell is getting to me so I am going to go. Oh, and so you know I am not only behind in blog visits but also super behind in checking email so if you sent one and haven't heard anything, don't be offended, I am just extremely behind.

Hugs and purrs to all our friends!

We hope you are feeling better soon. We had to laugh at Gus' destruction of toys. It's better that he rips them up than eat them (like Tucker does). We've had to remove many kinds of toys to prevent that.

Hi!! I love that Gus is a total dog! My dog Freddy thinks he is a cat. When we first got him, there were two cats in the house but they both have since died-- but the kitty spirit lives on, in Freddy.

I hope your headache goes away. I'm a migraine sufferer, it always gets worse at the turn of the weather. Hang in there!

Trixie may be your Little Miss Congeniality and Gus sounds like he would enjoy an afternoon here at Wite Dog Ranch for stuffie destruction fun.

Headaches just drain the life out of one. I hope you feel better. Have you tried an ice pack at the lower base of your neck?

Touching base is good Amy (we love to hear about your crew), but don't get yourself tied up with guilt over posting OR visiting. Just get feeling better.

I hope you feel better soon! Gus's destruction of toys is so funny, I've never heard of a cat doing that. And re: Trixie's eye, Scarlett has eye goop too. The vet said it's probably a blocked tear duct, which looks gross but isn't harmful.

Glad to hear that you are doing okay.

Sorry the smell is bothering you. Can they maybe send a note around and tell me to be a little more considerate? That is what they had to do at my work b/c some people have severe reactions to perfumes and stuff.
