UNDER CONSTRUCTION!

Since it has been quite a long time since we have been active, we are going to be Under Construction for a while - trying new fonts, designs, and updating our sidebar stuff. Hopefully we will get it how we like it soon so it won't change too much!

Also - Can someone tell me how to get rid of the giant gap below this notice - I cannot figure out how to do it - thanks!!

Happy Pi Day!

Hi Everyone,

Sorry we haven't been around much lately. I have had a rough time at work this week and will for the next few, and when I get home and on the weekend I am usually just trying to recover from work. I keep hoping to find something new but it is still tough to even find anything to apply for. I am glad I have a job but I just wish it wasn't so awful and depressing.

Anyway, this weekend both Trixie and Kirzon went to the vet. Trixie went because she got her third set of shots, and her left eye has been getting a bit irritated. She was great and very brave, and is up to 6 pounds! Wow! I have some eye stuff I tried on her but it seemed to really bother her so I need to call the vets office today when I am able. I tried a bit on her on Friday and her eye didn't improve (it was pretty bad on Friday evening) but by morning it was ok, so I didn't associate it with the eye stuff, but after Saturday I know that it was bothering her. We have a bunch of different eye things at our house so I will talk to them and see what they want to do - it probably won't be til later in the day so I will update tomorrow. Kirzon was there because of his mouth, and his lower gums are bugging him so I have to pick up some medicine on the way home. He was more nervous but Trixie tried to make him feel better. He is up a bit in weight too. He likes to eat the canned food the others don't eat so with a new cat in the house he is getting a bit more. That is ok because he doesn't eat the crunchies that are out, and at his age I am glad he is still getting enough without them.

So, since Trixie is old enough and big enough, we have scheduled her ladygardenectomy for April 8 - now I just have to figure out what I am going to do about work (I am probably going to just take a full vacation day).

Tomorrow is Lola's birthday - she is turning 12! I can't believe it! She asked that we not have a big party because she knows that I am so stressed right now, and plus she can party on the 31st when we have the big first birthday party for Gus and Stella. But if you have the chance please stop by and say hello.

I am going to try to get some visiting in this week but work is just stupid - we have a bunch of "big wigs" coming in next week so el jerko is most likely going to be in a lot. BOO! And since this is our end of the year at the end of the month that adds to it. And of course the smells are wonderful! I managed to get rid of that really nasty cocoa butter one (turns out one of the guys wives spilled potpouri oil on his expense receipts) but there are still a lot that bother me (I have a super sensitive nose and am sensitive to smells and get headaches, so I pretty much have one every day by the end of the day). Add to that the time change and this will be a rough week for me - but that is ok, it could be so much worse (I can't even watch the reports on Japan anymore because I just want to cry so much for them - I hope all of you with friends and family there have gotten in touch with them and they are ok). And there has been a lot of sadness in the CB with friends going to the bridge or being sick, and well, with work making me want to cry it has been hard to visit, but I really do miss you and want to come by. Just know that I am always thinking of all of you, even if I haven't had the chance to tell you!!

I am going to post some pictures later - Trixie and Stella were kind of snuggling and I got a couple pictures, and want to share them. So be sure to check back later!

My human feels really bad that you are having such a rough time at your job - she wishes everyone had work they enjoyed, and she has been really fortunate that she has been able to pursue her creative work for most of her life. Happy slightly early birthday to Lola. Do you know, Trixie weighs more than I do already!

Amy
Just wanted to let you know that I did get the package from Taste of the Wild. The kids LOVE the food and are having a grand time playing with the turbo track. If you get the chance go see our post -- it's last friday I think. You can see how much each one of them enjoyed everything.
