I don't have any new Trixie pics yet - I was going to try some today but we decided to try bringing her downstairs and I didn't want to double freak her out. See, I went in her room, and all the cats basically followed me - I swear they are ninjas sometimes. Stella went in to meet her the first time, and she of course hissed - first meetings are like that. Kirzon was totally calm and really was more interested in stealing her food and treats he found around. Barney didn't hiss this time, and neither did Virgil or Gus (well at first). So I decided to bring Trixie downstairs, since everyone was upstairs, and she was totally fine with everyone. So we came downstairs and I set her on the couch, and she explored it and then went under the couch (not scared, just exploring), then explored the tree (yep, that tree is still here - everything else is down, we just need to get the tree to the curch it is going to, and it is going to be assembled when that happens). Barney and Virgil came down and were watching her. I wanted to show her the kitchen where the food is, and that is when she got a little scared - not because of any cat or the kitchen, but because of the TV being on. Then she went in the kitchen and seemed nervous at that point, so I took her back up to her room. But I would still say that it was a big success considering that I would have thought she would be much more nervous. We went upstairs and Kirzon was in her new bed getting comfortable and Gus was just smelling everything. So since Trixie was going to be going back to rest and I got Kirzon out. I let Gus stay a little longer because while Trixie wasn't scared of him, he was nervous of her. He hissed a couple times (which honestly was surprising because he is a total sweetheart) and then I took him out. Trixie was tired but we did play a little bit before I let her take her nap (I know she is tired when she goes to her favorite sleeping spot under the bed). I am going to try and take some pics later, and will at least get some more videos - but pictures are my goal. I just wanted her to get a little break for now (and oh I forgot to let Lola out of her room after Trixie was back - I need to do that after I post this!)
I don't think I told you about the vet trip other than she was just amazing and lovey - she is 5 lbs, which makes her smaller than all the others at her age, and she is very healthy and her ears are nice and clean which is great news. She gets her third shots on 3/12 (she has had two sets) and then we will also talk about her ladygardenectomy (or for those of you who don't know that technical terminology, her spay surgery).
I have to say, Chrystal raises some insanely sweet cats - first I met Ash, who was the biggest sweetheart I had ever seen in a car, and then to get to know Trixie who is also a giant lovey sweetheart (she slept in the car but before she did she was letting me pet her and was very purry)- I have to say anyone who is lucky enough to adopt one of Chrystal's kitties will be very lucky to get a lovey baby. And I think because of the cathouse it helps the cats be less afraid when they meet new cats and that is so wonderful too. Trixie is dealing with the other cats much better than they are with her, which is very impressive, especially considering she was so feral at the begining. So seriously, if you are looking for a cat and are close enough to southern Illinois to consider it I would highly recommend considering one of Chrystal's sweeties - they are all so adorable I can't even tell you (of course I got the cutest in my totally unbiased opinion!)
Ok, I better go let Lola out now! I will have pictures or videos for you tomorrow!!

We think Trixie is settling in and doing very well, considering it's been only several days!
That's great progress in such a short time! She sounds like such a cutie and can't wait to see photos of her!

I'm glad it's going so well. She's a tiny one isn't she.
I just loved reading this happy and sweet bloggie about all of the babies and how well precious Trixie is. I wish I could see Chrystal's babies there. I'd probably have a houseful by now.

We're so glad Trixie is fitting into the House of Cats so well!
Ali Zophia thinks she would like to live at your place where kitties have their OWN rooms.
We are looking forward to seeing Trixie tomorrow if she will permit any picture taking. If not then, later!
Cheers,
Jo, Ali Z and Stella
Trixie sounds like she's settling in really well!
