So I am back - again. I haven't been online much - I am just so sad lately from work, and now on top of that I am sick (I tried to visit a bit but it was making me woozy, so I didn't get too much done). I do feel a bit better today so that is good. I am mostly packed so that is good at least (I think getting all the dust stirred up aroudn here is not helping either).
First and foremost let me thank all of you for your support - I just adore every single one of our blog friends - cats, dogs, people, all of you! It really means so much to me to get all the support you give me - I think it is what is keeping me sane to be honest with you (and Brad - he is trying really hard to make me feel better).
The cats are being super awesome lately too - Lola is just being so sweet and coming down and Barney is super snuggly. Kirzon is too - even though he is back on the transdermal meds for his ears. His mouth wasn't too bad yet (but boy, you wouldn't guess that from his nasty dragon breath - even Brad noticed it, and he can't smell anything) but he is on the transdermal stuff. He didn't get an allergy shot this time - we are doing a wait and see thing - he had a reaction once, but not the other times, so keep your fingers crossed.
And oh, we are so worried about all our friends in the nasty weather areas - Australia, Brazil, the US - all getting hit with such nasty weather. We hope everyone is doing ok!! We are purring for all of you to make it through the nasty to the nice weather again soon.
Oh, lets see, lunch today - well Pei Wei just opened nearby (which is great until we move) so I am picking up a spicy chicken salad. Hope it is good! Videos - not sure what those are going to be yet. Probably either Futurama or Big Bang Theory (ever since they started talking about the new office stuff I keep getting the line from Futurama about the slick, dazzling veneer of the 1980's in my head - if you have seen the episode Future Shock, where That Guy takes over Planet Express, well, he says it about changing the image of the company).
Stella is giant - like overnight she is a full grown ladycat. Gus is still bigger, but Stella seems like she is huge now (I think she may have passed Virgil - he is such a little guy).
The tree is still up - I don't really know what to do with it right now. Since it is all busted we are getting rid of it - but it is going to go to one of Brad's friends churches for someone who doesn't have any tree at all. It is fixable (with wires to hold it up) if you don't have cats - if you have cats fixing it actually makes it worse (because the wire pulls not only the broken branch but the branch it is attached to if the cats sits there). I have a couple other trees I want to give them too - one was my dad's and one is from the apartment. I have all the outside lights down, but the stuff inside is mostly up - the stuff in the windows has to come down and then everything else. We want to keep the Christmas stuff at our house because that way it will be easier to go through and clean out our storage locker. The cats think it is great because they get to play in/on the boxes. I just don't know what to do with the big feather wreath - that thing is huge. The cats love it too, so I can't really take it down without somewhere for it to go.
Lola is getting to come out a lot more now, and she is actually choosing to come downstairs lately. The biggest problem is that she really wants to go in the bedroom - that is only ok if I am with her, and so she is mad about not getting to go on her own. But since that was her main peeing spot, there is no way that is going to happen.
Why aren't there any specialty cat stores - I see lots for dogs around here but none for cats. Does anyone have any near them? Sure the dog places have a tiny cat section, but why not the reverse? And why is the dog section at the major pet stores so much bigger than the cat section? I love dogs, and think they deserve all that stuff, I just think cats do too.
I thought about getting a part time job at like PetSmart or something - but then I realized that would just be awful because I would get too attached and bring every animal home. I even get that way with fish. But it would be so nice for a discount on pet food and litter since we use a lot of it. But even if it was at the pethotel section of PetSmart I would probably be sad to not get to have every pet come home with me.
Gracie's birthday is coming up and because I haven't been online I am super behind. Barney keeps bugging me about it because he is afraid we will miss it. So does Gus about Ozabella, and Virgil about Danielle. And even Stella is bugging me because she has a crush on Miles, Pierro's brother. Lola and Kirzon don't have any relationships - but they do admire the fine cats and even the doggies out there. It is just most of them are too young for them. Kirzon will be 15 this year - that is insane!
I need to do some blog updating - I am missing a ton of badges. Oh, what do you think of the header? I made a collage picture at a website (can't recall which but if you are dying to know email me and I will find the link and send it to you - in about a month - because I haven't checked email in a good 2 weeks). I think it looks pretty good.
Oh, did I mention that we have regulations on skirt length and pant length for our new office. Yes, apparently I will be working in the 1950's.
I have to admit I almost lost track of Hugo - I have been TERRIBLE about that too - and the NKC, and all the other stuff I want to do. What it has only been like a year and a half since I wanted to put up an Etsy store - still haven't gotten to that either.
My cats are addicted to pipe cleaners. I am going to do a post about it at some point, I swear.
I have a Friday Friends post that is in draft - I haven't finished it. It will get up some day, I promise.
Well, that is all I can think of for now. I am trying to get around and visit everyone. Because it is easier I am going alphabetically - I try to do it with the visiting people who comment first but that is tougher because I have to keep going back and forth, and then I get lost and end up closing thing, and it is a mess. So if you comment, don't be offended if you visit and see me commenting at somewhere else first (I know you wouldn't of course). I am just trying to make the most efficient use of my time.
So, hopefully I will be back sooner than later - I have some pictures to post (I think) and hopefully will have them up in the next day or so (I noticed I don't have a ton of Stella pictures so I took a bunch of her and some of the others too).
I miss you all, and I hope that everyone is happy and healthy and safe and warm!! Hugs to you all!!

We loves your banner. It's good to see the whole gang!
Don't worry about visiting, we all have those times when we just can't. Your plate is certainly full.
We purrs that you and Kirzon are feeling better soon! And we're glad that Lola is finding her stride.
Don't worry about us, just make sure you post from time to time, so we know you are ok!
Love, TK and Squashies
Love the new banner! The pics of your babies look awesome.
Love the new banner! The pics of your babies are absolutely gorgeous.
Hi there! (((HUGS))) and purrs and kitty kissies.
I have transdermal gel too and take allergy shots!!
Are we both hyperthyrpid or just me?
Love the new banner.
We think that is the hard part of decorating for the holidays. Put it up just to take it down. Maybe that is why mom doesn't do it (even if she claims we would destroy everything).
Skirt length restrictions??? Don't think I would work there long. Sometimes I am just lucky to get to work with clothes on. MOL
We hope that you start feeling better. There were a couple of specialty cat shops that knew of. One was in Portland but don't know if it's still there. There was another in La Conner Washington but that one went out of business about two years ago.
Amy, you sure are busy! Don't worry about visiting anyone. Make the most of the little spare time you seem to have and do something nice for yourself. I hear snuggling with furries is all the rage...
Keep the faith, Amy! I admit I had to giggle at your "working in the 1950s" comment. Wow, restrictions on skirt lengths?! Sheesh.
Can't wait to see a photo of the "huge" Stella. I'm sure she's much bigger than our petite Sadie girl.
there is a great specialty cat store in Cleveland, Ohio (in Cleveland Hts, on Coventry Rd) called "Coventry Cats" I believe. It has been there FOREVER!!
When I lived there I enjoyed shopping there because they always had "live" cats walking around inside.
I am now in Michigan and there is another great cat specialty store called "Backdoor Friends"...really adorable things there.
So there are none in your area? Well...there you go....quit the lousy job that is depressing you and open a specialty cat store! Problem solved! :)
I hope you feel better soon.
A discount on dog and cat food would be SO nice! :)
Love your banner! I can't believe your office is instituting rules on pant and skirt length. Geez.
Amy
We are so sorry that things at work still continue to be a challenge for you and also now to hear you are not feeling well. WE hope you get better very soon. When I miss one day I am behind, so I understand how you feel, but don't worry we all understand, because it happens to each one of us. I still have some of my Christmas out, and I don't work! Love the new banner and we always look forward to your postings...and guess what? I go alphabetically in my Google Reader too!

Hi Amy. Again - don't worry when you can't visit. My life stays so crazy that I don't get to visit like I WANT to either.
You cracked me up with your working in the 1950's comment.
Since I've met Brad, I'm so glad to find out that he's the supportive kind of guy. Bravo, Brad.
Sorry to hear you're ill and so stressed about work. It sounds like your manager is just a control freak! The morale of his people should be his first concern -- instead he's trying to destroy it, it seems.
At least you have all your kitties to bring you some joy. Your new header is simply marvelous!
Amy!!! I think the same when I go to a shop and they have a pet section and it's 99.999999 per cent doggie stuff and a tiny, ever so hidden, small and tiny kitty section! It's so true!!! LOL!!
Awwww I'm with you about working in a pet place - I'd be taking all the animals home too!! LOL!!! You can't help it - a shop is no place for animals but where are they supposed to go?!?! :-)
I'm sorry to hear about Kirzon!! I do hope the meds work!! He's 15 years old now!! He's looking lovely and very handsome!!
Lola!! Sweet adorable Lola!! It's great to hear she's happier!! I do like the last set of clips you had of her - yay for Lola!!
I know Gus is a big kittyboy but Stella?? Wonderful!!
And when I thought your workplace wouldn't sink any lower they introduce a dress code. Will the MADNESS never end?!!?!!? Oh Amy!!!! What a place!! I'm so sorry!! Hang on in there! The manager responsible for this might get abducted by aliens!! I'm truly sorry!
I love your new blogheader!!!! It's brilliant!!
p.s. I think donating your trees to this good cause is so lovely!! I wish we had something like this here - that would be excellent.
Take care now
x
Thanks for the update and we are sending purrs that you feel better soon! It's so hard to be miserable at a job so we're sending purrs that either it gets better or you find another job soon. Hugs to you and the kitties!
The header is GREAT! Nice to see everyone at his or her best. Hope both Kirzon and his overstressed mom feel better soon. There is so much happening there! Glad to here the furkids are all handling winter and your crazed pressures so well. It is so nice of you to donate your old trees to families that might not have any at all.
Your office sounds like it just keeps getting stranger and stranger...through a looking glass!
We like the banner, but it would help to have names on the pictures. Its hard ta remember who is who. But we know ya are busy...
Hugo is coming here next (from Brian), an we are lookin forward ta that.
If it helps anny, when we get behind in our visitin, we go to the ones the RSS feeder says have the most unread posts. Then work our way down from the 3's to the 1's Sometimes we have good weeks an keep up like we want to. Sometimes we have to try to catch up. Its OK.

The new banner is great! So sorry to hear you are stressing out over work, though. Purrs and cold wet nose kisses for you!
We hope yoo get better soon!
Thank you for visiting our House of Cats! How funny is that? Six kittehs is a good number. Mom says she loves each and every one of us, but we are more than a handful to handle! BTW, our mom saw on your profile that your mom likes the band Jellyfish. Our mom is a big fan of Eric Dover who played with them at one time. She's even met him several times.
Purrs,
Clarissa & Co.
I hope you stay well-deprecating, really is very priocupante their friends and people who live in Australia, Brazil and the United States and here in Europe is not doing too well?
Good weekend

So sorry you are so "unhappy" at work! That kind of stress comes home with you. We hope things change for the better. Sending lots of purrs and tail wags.
It's hard to keep up but blogging is meant to be fun, just remember that. There are NO obligations.
Don't worry about the not visiting the mom here isn't working and she still isn't working much for me. I can hardly wait to do the year review progress report on her. I think she will have a rude surprise when she sees her score.
That figures that my sweetie pie Barney is your snuggly one. He is a keeper for sure!!!!!
Love to all at your place. See everyone tomorrow. Come early and stay late. Teleport over so you do't bother the mom at your place.
