Update - there is a bit of hope...
(See below if this doesn't make sense to you) I found a program that can recover deleted files - it has an evaluation version that you can use to see if you can find them and preview them - ran it and it found 14 files, but I can't preview because the files are too big, and the full version, where you can actually recover the files, is $40, which is a bit high to be unsure. Brad thinks he may be able to try it with something he has too, so if that dgoesn't work may end up getting the program. Cross your paws for me!

My paws are crossed too! Once my human improperly removed a photo card when she was downloading photos to the laptop and the card got corrupted. She had to hire someone to save the data off the card - it was not cheap, but it got done! We actually keep our photo cards instead of reformatting them - at least it is the one packrat habit of my human's that does not make a mess.
