UNDER CONSTRUCTION!

Since it has been quite a long time since we have been active, we are going to be Under Construction for a while - trying new fonts, designs, and updating our sidebar stuff. Hopefully we will get it how we like it soon so it won't change too much!

Also - Can someone tell me how to get rid of the giant gap below this notice - I cannot figure out how to do it - thanks!!

Random Wednesday!

So, my headache is better and that means it is a good time for a Random day!

Let's see, the tree has got to come down. There are so many lights out from certain kitties climing in it -  I just have to take it down at this point because it is making me nuts.

We are probably going to get rid of this tree because it is just too broken. I am worried that the same thing will happen to the next one though - but we plan to have a better storage solution by that time.

Lunch today is lunchables - they were on sale. Video is going to be two episodes of The Big Bang Theory.

Our house is a mess - I just have not felt up to cleaning lately. I am super stressed and depressed about the move at work - it just seems to get worse by the day. We have been told we can't have "papers or pictures" out at our desks. So ridulous to make the place even more unbareable. Papers that are used for reference are to be put into binders - which means it will take twice as long to get anything done.

Barney is still super snuggly, which I like. He is always climbing in my lap, or sitting next to me, or behind me.

Lola is getting to come out more often and that makes her super happy. I think. Sometimes she gets into fights with Virgil or Barney and even Kirzon. The little cats are nervous around her, so they keep a bit of a distance (though Stella and Lola will sit kind of near each other and Gus will too - he is less nervous then Stella - Stella will sometimes hiss at her and Lola looks at her like "whatever little girl")

I can't believe that Gus and Stella will be 9 months old on 12/31 (if I counted right - I totally have miscounted it before - like a few times).

Our Christmas was quiet - we went to Brad's parents for Christmas Eve for dinner, and got to see his mom's dogs Oscar and Sonny. Sonny was a very good girl this time - usually she is pretty hyper. For Christmas we went to my aunt and uncles. They have 3 dogs and 2 cats - we only saw one of the cats (Cassie) though - Clause stayed upstairs. All the dogs were good - the are all Caviliers, Baxter, Abby and Maddie - Abby was hyper during dinner but other than that she was ok.

Did you know you can personalize your candles at Yankee Candle now - my uncle did that and got pics of the three dogs on them. I am not a big scented candle person because most give me a headache, but there are a couple I can use and so I think that could be very cool.

The cats didn't get too much for Christmas because we want to get them a cat tree. We just have to save up for it because big ones are really expensive - and with six cats it needs to be pretty big!

We are not doing much for New Years Eve - we will probably fondue, which I have been really wanting lately. Brad will fall asleep before midnight, and I will stay up, say Happy New Year to the cats, then go to bed. I have a ton of cleaning to do that I hope to start on this weekend. I hate cleaning and am terrible about doing it, but then when it is messy it makes me crazy. Mainly because the cats tend to spread it around when they play and chase each other, which lately has been all the time. Any of you have big New Years plans? Do any of you remember when everything would be closed on New Years day, like it is on Christmas? I remember when I was young trying to go to the mall and it was closed.

2011 is a big year - my 40th birthday will be on 11/11/11. Everyone says to do something big and exciting, but honestly just thinking about it makes me tired. We will do a commentathon - that will be fun.

Our first Birthday of 2011 will be Lola's 12th, then Gus at Stella's first, then Barney will be 2, Virgil will be 3 and Kirzon will be 15! Wow time flies so fast!

Ok, that is it for the randomness today. If you haven't seen them already, be sure to check out the pictures I posted yesterday. Have a great New Year, in case I don't get the chance (or energy) to post again!!

We are the kitties will love their new cat tree - the more ledges and hidey holes the better!!.
Having new offices is always stressful because you can't find anything cos its not in a heap on the floor and the new filing system is not working out as it should. Just take a deep breath and count to million!!
Hope all goes well when it happens.

Hi Amy, we had to put our tree out yesterday, I've never not had a tree at new year! But for some reason after Christmas the cats got really interested in it and pulled at the lights and chewed the branches. I didn't want them eating the pine needles, it can cause intestinal problems, so out it went :-( I'm sorry to hear that you will be throwing away your white tree, it is so gorgeous!

Work is always a pain, don't let it bother you. Life is elsewhere Amy and those people are so unimportant :-) Keep smiling!

Glad you are feeling better. Our mom gets bad headaches too, but has a medication that works on them most of the time. We hope things improve at work, though some policies seem silly. Mom puts up with that kind of thing too, but the worst is that her beloved department manager may transfer closer to her home soon.

Hi Miss Amy and Kittehs! Gosh, I've missed you!

I like your random posties. They're awfully fun to read, even though I'm sad that your work is so stoopid. Can you have pictures on your computer screen?

How exciting that you're gonna gets the kittehs a kitteh tree. But maybe you could just leave up your Christmas tree instead cuz it sounds like they like it a lot.

I'm glad everybuddy is doing so good and I'm happy you had a most merry Christmas!

We enjoyed reading about all your randomness! We're glad that Lola is able to come out more and we're glad your headache is better. Sounds like lots of fun is going to happen in 2011 with a new cat tree and 40th birthdays, etc!

Everyone sounds happy busy at home! I bet a big cat tree will delight the entire family. Glad to hear Lola is coming around. Your office sounds so drab and corporate, I hope things get better for you! Our tree must be down and out for recycling Monday after NY...I remember as a kid leaving it up until the 6th, Three Kings Day. Forty IS a milestone worth celebrating in a grand way!

Glad to hear that your headache is better.
That is pretty cool to hear about the candles and would make nice gifts for people. :)

Hi Amy
We love your random posts!
Oh my we are so sorry that the work place is becoming less worker friendly. I understand, I worked in an office like that for a long time. I hope it improves.
Wish we were within driving distance, our Dad makes cat trees and he could make one for you but we're in FL.
I think because all of the kitties in our house are older they do not bother the trees. We hope you can find a solution for that.

That is a bummer about your work - it sounds like there is some micromanaging going on. Although I cannot say things are better here, considering that I am on my human's desk, supervising her most of the time.

I hear the One Day on Earth Project (http://www.onedayonearth.org/) will be doing 11/11/11 next year - you should find someone to document your day!

In the spirit of randomness, I will reply to only a few items. ;)

You should all be given huge rolltop desks at work so you can just pull down a cover over them!

You should do something BIG on 11/11/11 at age 40! Cool numbers dont come around very often and 2 of them happening at the same time is rare. Invite 11 friends to a party. Then tell them all the 11th one was just to make it "11". THEN hand out a prewritten note to all of them that they werent the "11th". They will never know for sure. And serve 11 foods and snacks...

Just a couple thoughts. LOL!

The Big Thing

Yes you SHOULD do something BIG!!

Wow, you are busy. Sorry to hear about the work stuff - it sounds like an awful environment. No papers, even?? How bizarre.

I say, do whatever makes you happy on your birthday! It's a day all about you, after all, so you decide how it should be spent.

Your kitties will be so excited about their cat tree! Scarlett is kind of lukewarm about ours - she mostly likes the scratching posts - but Melly, well, you've seen the videos.

Wot a lovely catch up post! We look forward to sharing all those birthdays with you. Mom said your own birthday is special 'cos 11 is said to be a very auspicious and lucky number.

Happy New Year 2011!

It's a shame there's so much stress at work. Perhaps the purring kitties help make it make your day when you get home. Hope your headache goes away.
