UNDER CONSTRUCTION!

Since it has been quite a long time since we have been active, we are going to be Under Construction for a while - trying new fonts, designs, and updating our sidebar stuff. Hopefully we will get it how we like it soon so it won't change too much!

Also - Can someone tell me how to get rid of the giant gap below this notice - I cannot figure out how to do it - thanks!!

More Randomness!!

So my last Randomness post was so much fun I decided to do another one! Maybe I will make it a regular thing!

So, today's lunch (I am at lunch now) - Swedish Meatballs tv dinner. Better than last weeks. Futurama again - today Bendless Love and The Day the Earth Stood Stupid - one of my favorites. For some reason it just cracks me up every time Fry drops Chester A Arthurs's head and then Chester says "Chester A Arthur fall down". I have no idea why.

Also, I have a tough time spelling Arthur. I blame spell check.

Also, it makes me wonder if I can train the cats to roll over for a ham. Ham sounds good right now.

The cats are being goofy - they are enjoying the still not done Christmas decorating. Oh, I know you liked the previous Christmas pics - just so you know, in case it wasn't clear - those were from last year. The tree is up and has lights, but no ornaments at the moment. I will send pics when I am done. Gus and Stella aren't bothering it too much, Barney is still trying to climb inside (like in the picture from last year).

We joke our house is half Christian, half Jewish because quite by accident the back of the house is in all blue and white lights (I got these snowflakes with blue led's a few years ago and loved the blue glow they gave off - it spiraled out of control after that) and the front is in traditional Christmas colors. It wasn't a conscious thing, it just turned out that way. Oh, and before I forget, for those of you who celebrate Hanukkah I hope you are having a happy one!

Barney is super snuggly, and has been acting a little bit jealous lately. Kirzon is still being a crazy old man.

Virgil has decided to sleep next to the unfinished cat litter cabinet (everyone cross your fingers and paws that Ed gets me the metal piece I need soon - once it is done I will post a picture). I finally figured out it is because there is a heat vent right behind the cabinet so it is warm right there.

Lola was super mad at me yesterday because I was doing the lights for the window in her room. See, there is no good way to attach stuff to the upstairs windows - staples are hard to get into the wall. So I came up with a plan - use artist's canvas stretchers (because it would be easier to do) and stretch a net light across it. It worked great but I think Lola hated the noise of the staples. Plus her window is huge so it is big - 48" x 48". She has been super snuggly lately which makes it hard to get any jewelry making done, but that is ok, because I like to snuggle with her.

Oh, one night Brad was sleeping in the room with her and he thought she peed on him, but I think he just got his blanket in her water fountain.

Virgil is mad he can't get to the palm tree this year to chew on the leaves - it is in Brad's office with the door closed to protect it. It was my parents tree, then after my dad died it didn't get a ton of attention and died, but then it came back, so I am super protective of it. It isn't poisonus to cats (I checked and couldn't find it listed) but I still don't want them eating it.

I keep forgetting to bring my iPod to work - I use my Zune most of the time, but it doesn't have my Christmas music on it (I could add it but the files are all on one of the external drives and I haven't been able to get them plugged in yet - with the new couches we don't have a good computer set up). I also keep forgetting to bring my little silver tree - if they made a big version of that tree I would do anything I could to get it because I love it, and it would be even better with ornaments and big.

Gus and Stella are hilarious - the jump over each other all the time to get to other places. Stella will come and tell you she wants to be petted, and will paw at you (usually your hand but sometimes your face) til it happens. She loves to play blanket monster, but is terrified of actually being under the blanket. Gus isn't a fan either. He is totally always trying to get in on it when I am giving Barney his "yay I am home from work" ear scritches. I wonder if that is why Barney is a bit jealous lately.

Hang on - Chester A Arthur is about to fall down.

Ha - gets me every time.

Oh, so I was talking about Stella and the blankets. So Barney is the opposite - he loves to be under the blankets, and Stella is SO confused by it. It is so funny because if he is under there and she knows it she will dig to try and get to him. Then they play blanket monster.

Barney is also super snuggly at night - he is the only cat who snuggles up next to me. The other sleep by my legs but Barney will kind of try to spoon with you - he knows just where to sleep so it is comfortable for him AND me.

Ok, that is all the randomness for today. I am trying to get caught up visiting again - so if I haven't been by yet to see you, keep a look out!

Oh, and before I get to the pics - if you want to exchange cards, there is still time - just let me know! And be sure to check the list to see if you are on there!! I haven't sent my cards out yet (ok, not true, one went today) but they will be going by this weekend. But even after that I can still send them. And if you aren't sending cards but are doing an electronic version, please let me know in the comments - I am so behind but I see them at other blogs - I wanted to both do a page of them, and also print them to go with my other cards.

Ok, so now here are some pics - I told you about my pre-Virgil trees - I found pictures at my old Windows Live space, so those are below, plus some old pics of the cats at Christmas. Floyd was still with us then so there will be some of him too!

Your Christmas tree is so purrty! We only set up our little 3 and a half foot tree this year. The little ones are so quick to decorate. Your ornaments are so cute!

I love your background, its soooo jolly and retro looking!

Your trees are really lovely. I have been lazy and done smaller treets over the last few years. About two footers with miniature ornaments. which you just have to wrap tissue around and plastic bag them when put-away time comes!

Cheers and hugs,

Jo and Stella

What beautiful trees. We don't even bother putting up a tree anymore with as many as we have here. :)
