So, on November 14th we will be participating in the 2nd annual Worldwide Moment - a moment when everyone sends out their purrs and woofs for all the sick kitties and doggies who need it. It started last year with Snickers, who was Butchy's sister who went to the bridge last year. Everyone sent their hopes out that Snickers would get better. She did end up leaving for the bridge, but we know she felt all the love headed her way before she left. This year, in her memory and in hopes of sending the love to all those who need it, it is happening again. Jake and Fergie, two of our doggie friends, are organizing it and made this great banner. We think it is a great idea and hope you all do too. If you haven't heard of it before you can visit their blog to read some about it. And if you have we know you will be joining us!
Ok, now on to other business. Tomorrow would normally be our Friends on Friday, but I am so behind I don't have it ready. I am planning on getting caught up this weekend. The laptop I had is now in use by others (boo) and so I can't even visit at lunch again. I wish I could bring my computer in but well, that would just look weird since I don't normally do that. I have a smart phone with internet but it is too small to really use well - it is very frustrating! So the plan this weekend is to catch up and then next week hopefully I will have a better idea of how I plan to visit everyone. The stupid thing is now I just sit and stare at my computer when I have nothing to do. See, they have both blocking software, which blocks any fun sites (like blogs, facebook, even Gmail). But they also have tracking software, so it tells corporate every site I visit - so even if I could get to fun sites it would be tracked. BOO! They have the games on the computer that came with it (freecell, minesweeper) BUT when you click it you get a message that they are disabled because of the companies computer usage policy (you get basically the same message when you go to a fun site - except it says internet usage policy, not computer policy). I understand why they do it but it isn't like I don't get all my work done. I know a girl who does put down extra time because she spends time on facebook and doesn't get done during her regular hours, but I don't do that. I just do my job too well I guess. Oh, and before you ask, yes, she is at my company but since her computer is older they haven't put the software on it yet. Ok, seriously this is not a whine about my job blog, this is a cat blog. So, well, the cats are all doing good. I will try to get some pictures, and if I am lucky I will get video of Gus with his silly noises. His meow is just so, well, whiney and funny.
I hope everyone is having an ok week - I know lots of our friends are sick and we are sending out tons of purrs for all of you!!

Thanks for reminding us of the 14th! That stinks about the work place problems, I bet you feel completely out of touch with the blogging (real) world!
Amy
I truly understand about the work situation. I hope you can find a solution.

I think the Worlwide Moment sounds fantastic, I'd like to participate too! Can I put the badge on my blog?
Norty computer upgrades! We'll be here whenever you you can visit. No worries.
We agree wiv Khyra, "Please don't do anything to jeopardise your job" (unless yoo are really really wanting to get rid of it!)
We stil love yoo and the cats wevver yoo visit or not! Nuff said.
Mama has some kind of weird thing at her job--they allow access to Facebook and Twitter but tell them not to use it! She's grateful she has a laptop at home! We hope things get better for you!
OOooh this is my first foray for 14th november! Thank you - I'll post that lovely banner on my blog - thanks!
I'm truly sorry your workplace is being a bit mean about their network policy. Of course there are abuses of network use but I think the overall effect of being able to escape every so often from non-work related stuff WITHOUT detriment to your workload and efficiency is good for morale and the workers' well being. I really think that! I'm sure there are studies to back my theory up! :-)
If my workplace ever used such draconian measures - there'll be riots!
But seriously - I hope such policies ease up a little soon! Hang on!!
Purrs to sweet Gus and Stella, Lola, Virgil, Kirzon and Barney! Take care

We didn't know about the 14th, will check it out and likely participate.
Crummy about your work internet restrictions. Guess that means you get to do paper crosswords or something of that ilk! LOL.
Woof! Woof! Yes we are planning to partake in this event (it's posted on our post today, Friday. Hope you guys are partaking on the 2010 Holiday Exchange Cards. YES many corporation have blocking software installed which I think it is good for safety reasons and Mmmm makes and employee more productive??? Happy Friday n Weekend.
Work is getting in the way of the most important thing, blogging. I say there is only one thiing to do. Quit work, ha, ha, ha. Just kidding.
It's so good to hear the kitties are good. Isn't it such a challenge to stay caught up with details in our technical world? And I would not want to NOT participate. My homeless kitties are doing well, as are my inside ones.
For all you folks and animals reading this my blog has stories and information helpful for cat helpers everywhere. Let your ‘beans know!
I pray that all cat blogosphere kitties stay well!

Wow, that is such a good thing to do.
Don't you hate feeling like you have to catch up? I try to keep up on the blog every day..if not I feel it spin out of control and FAST! LOL
Jobs are scarce these days...as frustrating as it is don't let your anger undermine the fact you have kitties to feed...we understand that you cannot always find time after hours to visit.
Glad to see you spreading the word about The WorldWide Moment! Last year it was an awesome event!
I hope it all works out OK!
Nubbin wiggles,
Oskar
Thank you sooo much for helping to spread the word about the Worldwide Moment. We're pretty sure a bunch of kitties that might not otherwise know will now know because of you. And, please, let Cat know that he (or she?) can certainly put the banner on his (or her) blog. It's for EVERYBUDDY who wants it.
We'll be back. In the meantime ... don't jeopardize your job. Be wise. And know we think of you. Often.
Love
Jake and Fergi
We are sure glad The Big Thing is at home now and our computer time is our own!
Hi Amy and the gang!

Love Milo xxxxxxxx
Amy, I've been thinking ... Since I am such a lucky boy and have tons of toys ~ I have would like to donate my prize (for the halloween competition yoo sponsored) to Winnie's siblings so that they have something to play with while they are waiting to find their forever homes. if this is OK wiv yoo, will yoo mind posting my prize to them c/o Chrystal.
Fanks and love from Milo xxx
