So, many of you probably remember Winnie, the little kitten taken in by Daily Dose of Dogs who sadly didn't make it. Well, the Daily Dose of Dogs folks do private rescue, and have huge hearts - they currently have a full house of cats up for adoption, in addition to some who still need their help. But they are out of room, and have found a few more kittens who need them, so they need to find good forever homes for their current available residents as soon as possible. If you or someone you know is looking for a kitty why not try one of theirs! You can visit the Winnie's Wish Post to learn more about it. And since that post went up, they have taken in 3 more kittens who will be in need of homes soon (and are still working on trying to catch their 2 remaining siblings).

UPDATE: We just saw a post over at Cat's Cats - Cat is adopting Ash from Winnie's Wish! They still need more room (they are currently at 4 over capacity - once Ash leaves for his new home, that means still 3 over - and if they catch the other two kittens, well, then still 5 over) but this is a great start! And if you take a look you will see that they can go pretty much anywhere - and there are lots of volunteers to help transport if needed!

Great job reminding people about Winnie's Wish. We're too far away to adopt anyone, but we did just mail them a bag of goodies!

We hope Winnie's Wish comes true and that all those precious babies find safe and loving forever homes. Private rescues do so much to help and they stretch dollars and space and time so far...they are truly heroes for what they do.
We read the news on Cat's blog - that is too cool! It's really sad that animals need rescued at a faster rate then they are being adopted. :(

Hooray for Ash. He will have a wonderful new home. Our cats are sure jealous of their catio.
We saw about Ash on Cat's blog yesterday - we were delighted for both of them. As more people hear about Winnie's Wish and hear about Cat and Ash they will perhaps come forward and adopt via the Daily Dose of Dogs.
