Yay! We finally get to do a Thursdays in the Garden post! See, we don't really have a garden outside - our house is not good for gardening because it gets a lot of shade, and I like plants that need a lot of sun. Before the tree in back got as big as it is now, I would grow some things in pots - I had good luck with peppers (jalapeno and habanero), herbs (sage, cilantro, basil) and flowers (mostly pansies). But once the tree got really big it was too shady and nothing really grew well. In front there is a plant area and I tried to grow stuff, but it always died - too much shade from the tree in front. There are a few evergreens but that is about it now - we filled in the garden area with pretty rocks. I do have a tree that came from my parents house - it had died but it came back, which is awesome. So a couple years ago when the Aerogarden came out, Brad got me one for Christmas. I just never got around to planting it. Until last week. I planted it, and didn't expect too much, because the seeds had been around for a while and had gone through a lot of temp changes. But, lucky for me - they grew!! There are three that have sprouted already, and I just noticed today a fourth is on its way! There are seven spots total - so far the one I wanted to grow the most - the sage - isn't sprouting, but it takes longer than the others so I am going to give it a little bit longer. Of course, now the cats have also discovered the plants - luckily I looked them all up first and they are all safe. But Virgil, tne king of knocking stuff down, keeps knocking the little domes off the top = and they are supposed to stay on until the plants sprout and are visible. So, well, it is causing some problems. But it is ok - I just put the tops back on.
Anyway, here are some of the pics I took of the cats with the garden - I would love to have a couple of them so I could grow tomatos and peppers, and have an herb one and then maybe a cat plant one too. I just don't have the room or the money at the moment - heck I am not even sure what to do with this one - because if the cats keep going after it then the plants might never get big.
So, here are the pictures - but keep going past them, because after them is the Thanful Fur Three portion of the post!
So,for those of you who either forgot or didn't know, Thankful Fur Three is the fun blog hop started by our friends at The Teacher's Pets It is pretty easy, and super fun - here are the guidelines, and the links for everyone participating are down below!
I like to keep things simple so here are the 3 guidelines FUR the blog hop:

To join in the Thankful Fur 3 Thursday, include your link in our list, follow the hostesses (The Teacher’s Pets and my lovely friend, Maggie Mae) in the first 2 spots and WE PROMISE TO FOLLOW YOU IN RETURN and then start blog hopping! Visit other blogs on the list and comment to give them some blog love. Then take a minute to follow them through Google Friend Connect – this is a good way to keep up with other blogs, but also lets us show support to each other! 2. When people comment on your blog and let you know they’re a part of Thankful FUR 3 Thursday, return the favor and follow them back. This way everyone gets traffic and followers out of participating, and it’s a win-win situation. We would think it was pawsome if you grabbed our Thankful FUR 3 Thursday button and post it on your blog and/or in a post but please don't feel obligated to do so! The more bloggers that find out about Thankful FUR 3 Thursday and participate, the better!

I enjoyed the pictures, I didn't know you could have a garden inside...wow!
Yay - we're glad you're doing Thursday in the Garden! And the AeroGarden looks great! Sage does indeed take a long time to germinate - it is not the easiest plant to grow from seed, but it looks like that is a perfect environment for germination.
P.S. We can't have inside plants because Tasha eats anything and everything green. Sometimes we have plants inside temporarily and our mom has to keep them on top of the refrigerator, but we doubt that would work at your house because some of you probably know how to jump that high!
Wow! I wish I could get an inside garden but with the kitten that is probably out of the question...
Mama wants an Aerogarden, too, but has no where to put it. Those kitties will be real gourmands soon!
We just love yoor gardening post. And those plants are just awesome! They look a bit tempting though ~ they might get nommed! Tee hee!
Wow! That is one super cool garden!
Oooh, that Aerogarden is lots of fun for kitties! Hopefully you will reach an equilibrium between the quantity of herbs you need and the kitties nomming them!
Do you have a basement where you can put it away? The lights should take care of any need for sunlight.
What a brilliant idea for an indoor garden! And look at them sprouting - how delicate and tiny!! Oh GOOD LUCK with this - I really really hope they survive beautiful Virgil's attention! LOL!!! What a curious kitty he is!!!
Awwww and I see how sweet Stella and Gus are now following him! LOL! Oh dear!!!
But I have everything crossed that these pretty herb plants grow strong enough soon!!
GO SAGE!! :-)
Take care

Great post! Very cool!
Oh, and from Ozabella who is standing here looking over my shoulder and won't leave me alone until I tell "Gustin Bieber" -- hi! And I refuse to jump up and down like she is when I say it! I don't know where this is going! Teenage girls -- HELP!
I was grazing just a bit ago ;=)

I wonder if my human would have any luck with this aerogarden. Probably not - she just got done killing some basil seedlings (not on purpose, of course!).
Cute photos, love how curious your babies are about the inside garden=those little noses were working overtime!!...Mommy is just in love with Gus=he always looks like he's smiling and happy=he reminds her of her precious Jax (2001-2007), the sweetest boy our Mommy ever knew!!...kisses, lovely friends...Calle, Halle, Sukki
The AeroGarden looks so cool! Great way to get around the excessive shade issue. And I love the photos of the cats investigating the plants - so funny and cute!
that aerogarden is pretty nifty! i think the kitties would like you to grow some catnip instead, though. teehee. :)

Nice hydroponic garden!
Oh, my gosh, that is so cute I can't stand it. I loved the AeroGarden. But I loved it even more when kitties started to show up. They are so intrigued and it is just so cute!!
Your garden is so neat! We didn't know you can have a garden inside! We'll have to talk to our mommy about this and see if we can get one now!
Those plants don't stand a chance!
Looove the garden. I saw one recently and wanted to get it to grow cat grass and maybe even catnip (I'd get rid of them when they got too big). I love the photos and now I'll see about getting one of those gardens if I ever find it again on sale.
Sorry I've not stopped by!!1 Too busy.
