UNDER CONSTRUCTION!

Since it has been quite a long time since we have been active, we are going to be Under Construction for a while - trying new fonts, designs, and updating our sidebar stuff. Hopefully we will get it how we like it soon so it won't change too much!

Also - Can someone tell me how to get rid of the giant gap below this notice - I cannot figure out how to do it - thanks!!

Some quick updates!

Hello everyone! The cats are still being crazy as always but when I left the little tops were still on all our plants that need them so I am hoping they will be there when I get home. Keep your fingers and paws crossed!

Kirzon seems a bit better - he is still rubbing his mouth but he is not doing as much mouth smacking as before, so that is good. I have to admit that sometimes he will rub his mouth with both paws, which reminds me of a bunny, and that is very cute - I just wish he didn't do it so much!

And the kittens are doing good - both are not having any incision problems or anything. They are still being crazy and playing a lot, even though I try to keep them resting. Oh, and the pics of them in the orange camo thing - that is their tent. They play so much that the poles come out on the bottom, and it is tough to tell it is a tent! Today was funny because, well, first let me explain that Gus loves to play with ice. Virgil adores the ice maker, and comes running when it is on, and I think Gus picked up on that. So because our ice maker is crummy it sometimes keeps going, so a cube or two falls. I get ice for my breakfast every morning (I hate super hot tea and oatmeal, but it has to cook, so I add ice to cool it so I can eat it and not wait forever). I noticed the other day that Gus not only bats the ice, but he carries it around. So today, Stella was trying to bury something in the tent. I thought someone had either been bad, or barfed in it or something. So I get a towel and see what the lump is but it is dark so I can't really tell til I pull it out - and it is the ice cube Gus had this morning. I don't know if he was trying to save it or what. It was so funny.

So, for those of you who were wondering, yes, the kitten really are that big. Stella is about normal, when we took her in for her surgery she was around 6 lbs (can't remember the exact on her), and so she will probably be a bigger girl. But Gus, oh, my giant babycat. Gus was 7 7/8 lbs. They just turned 5 months old yesterday. He is HUGE. I bet he will be as big as Barney, if not bigger. And he is such a sweetheart - he is the most reserved of all the youngest cats, but also the most daring when it comes to exploring heights and stuff (though he has been good about not doing that lately). He has the funniest meow, and will just be a gentle giant. Stella is the more outgoing of the two of them, and for sure the more in your face - like literally. She will come up to me in the morning and put her paw on my face to wake me up - and she doesn't always realize her claws our out, so sometimes she scratches a little - but not on purpose, because she is so gentle about it otherwise. And oh, can I add that these are the only cats I have ever seen that are actually polite with their claws - they have never really tried to sharpen them on anything they really shouldn't. Sure, they tried on kitchen chairs, but they are not anything that is a big deal, just unfinished pine, so it is ok.

I plan to have more pics later, still need to send out my packages, still catching up to visiting after last week and the weekend - down from 1000+ to less than 200 now - yay!

Anyway, I hope you all have a great day, and I will have pictures and more stuff later - we got a couple packages that I hope to have some sort of pics of - not sure how because they have the toys already, but I will try!

Oh, and also to update, it sounds like Earl is headed towards the East Coast now, so we are purring for all our friends in his path to stay safe. Pirulo has posted on his blog that it has passed there and they are all ok with minimal damage - you can see his update HERE.

Yay that Kirzon is getting better!! And me and Charlie have everything crossed that the plant tops stay on! :-)

And big hugs to sweet Stella and Gus! They are really only babies but growing up fast - especially lovely Gus!! My goodness!! It's so great to hear them playing about after their surgeries! How funny about the ice! That's really unique!!!

Thank you for the update about Pirulo!! I do hope hurricane Eric goes out to sea now. I hope everyone stays safe and well and protected.

Take care

Wow, Gus will probably be as big as our Tucker (who is 14 lb. 10 oz.)! I always love Stella's photos, as she looks like she's scrunching. Hugs to Kirzon for his continued recovery.

MOL! Gus is so funny and cute to hear about. All of us cats have an interesting quirk or two. And Gus and Stella are growing up so fast! They're getting quite close to what I weighed at the vet.

You are a busy lady! My Phoebe loves ice too. I love the story about the ice cube in the tent! I'm sure you have shenanigans happening every day at your place :)

I am awed at the weight of those kittens. I think they weight almost more than I do!

Glad to hear Kirzon is feeling better..Gus and Stella are such sweetehearts!...For the last couple of months, Sukki seems to be almost afraid of the ice maker=maybe a piece flew out and hit her at some point, I really don't know what happened, but she gets the funniest look on her face when she hears it and no matter what she's doing, she runs like crazy through the house!...Happy Wednesday, sweet friends...xoxo...Calle, Halle Sukki

I am so glad to hear everyone is doing so well. Those two sweeties are gonna be large cats!

*whew*
Earl is going to be a big troublemaker! We went down to the Ocean today to check it out and the swells here are 7-15 feet.

*wow*
I couldn't believe people were actually swimming out in that churning mess.

Glad to hear that things are going well.

Don't you wish they could stay babies forever sometimes?

We're glad that Kirzon is getting better! The kittens are certainly big ones - they're big on cuteness too though! We're hoping the hurricane stays away from the shore too for our east coast furiends.
