So, I didn't get a chance to get together the gardening/thankful fur three post yet - that will have to post later. But I did want to let everyone know that this Saturday is Kirzon's birthday (well, at least the day I picked for his birthday) and we will be having a little get together that you are all invited to - cat, dog, kitten, puppy or person! Kirzon will be turning 14 - that explains why he acts like an old man! I am working on the post so if I don't get to visit you today, that is why. I am still working on catching up - I got pretty close so if I have missed you I appologize - I had been going alphabetically, now that I am a bit more caught up I am going by date. I have had a couple blogger/reader issues, so that is making it take a bit longer!
For now, I will also be adding 2 updates at the end of each post - the Kirzon Fur Pulling Update, a Lola in her Room Update and the Kitten on the Banister Update. They are below.
Kirzon Fur Pulling Update - So last night when I got home I didn't find any new tuft piles but I did catch him pulling and told him to stop. I will have some pics of his one side later to post. Didn't find any more this morning either, so that is a good sign that he is at least doing it less (or he is hiding somewhere to do it that I haven't found yet).
Kitten Banister Update - Kittens slept in the bedroom again last night with the door shut - Barney joined them (I let the older cats in if they want to be because there is enough for them too - except Kirzon, because he likes to only eat the squishy food and that is not in the bedroom. He is ok with it though). Brad let Barney out early but the kittens stayed. Caught Stella on the banister twice this morning - she got down before I had to pull her down. I think it is when she is up there playing with Barney - she goes up there to get a good angle to jump on him or something, but he will sit and just watch her because he doesn't go up there (oh I hope he never does - he is still kind of pear shaped, though less so, and it seems like he would be bad at it - he is bigger than he realizes and not as good at some things - Floyd had the same problem and would misjudge on occasion).
Lola in her Room Update - Lola is doing good in her room. I have added an air filter in there to keep it mostly stink free (I scoop often but it still can get a bit icky because well, it is cat pee) and have the fans going to circulate the air (since the door is closed it is tough to get the air moving in there). I think there is a chance she peed somewhere in the room but I can't figure out where (it could just have been the garbage but I took that out so I am not sure at the moment) - the good thing is with Halloween coming we will be going to the storage locker and I will be able to get the black light. That really shows it well. When I get home from work I spend time in there (usually at least an hour) and I let one other cat in - usually Barney or Kirzon because she gets along with them the best. I have offered to let her come out but she really isn't too interested yet. She has a light that is on all the time - she only seems to be upset in there when it is off, and also I want her to have light if say there is a storm and it gets dark during the day. She has a great storm hiding place too so she usually stays if it isn't a really nasty one where I feel the need to gather the cats.
So that is all I have for now - our garden/thankful fur three will be up later on, after 7 our time most likely. And I am not sure but there may not be a Friends on Friday due to birthday prep - it depends on how much I can get done tonight - I am going to try and make him a nice picture! Plus, I am going to work on our October banner - we will be going pink for Breast Cancer Awareness month (with a small yellow break for Livestrong Day and of course, we will go all out for Halloween - I hope!)
Have a great day everyone!
Edited to add: Have you seen the Ikea Cat-Alogue? I got an email and didn't think it was real (could be a spam) so I didn't click the link, but instead I went in to the Ikea site (I go there a lot!) It was through the UK site in the email, so I went to ikea.com, picked UK as my country instead of US and there was a link there - I know a lot of you have seen the commercial - this has to be in relation to that. The link is http://ikeacat-alogue.ie/, or just go to Ikea.com, pick UK as your country and you will see it listed on the first page - so much cuteness!

It sounds like things are going well from your update. That's great! :)
Those are very positive reports! We're so glad that Lola is doing OK in her room, too. We've seen the IKEA commercial online and were laughing at the cuteness.
Oh, by the way, any updates on Hugo Hippo? Have you sent him out yet?
Whew! Lotsa stuffs going on! I'm glad everybuddy seems to be doing good.
I didn't know that Kirzon was almost 14! He sure looks younger than that! I can't wait for the pawty! It sounds like it's gonna be loads of fun!

Sound like all pretty good news, especially the Birthday get together for Kirzon...wouldn't miss it! I am co-hosting a blog hop today, please hop by and pawticipate!
AWww lovely Kirzon is gonna be 14!! Me and Charlie will definitely by there for his birthday - thanks for the invite. Oh I hope that time you caught him pulling his fur was a one -off! He seems to be getting better so I hope he truly is!! Good luck!!
Awww Stella and Gus on the bannister! :-) Well sweet Stella!! Maybe she does think it's a great perch to jump on Barney! Oh dear. It does sound like it's a way for her to get a vantage point especially with Barney! All the best with getting her off there!!!
And adorable and lovely Lola! Oh she is lovely!! I think she is having a fab time with such a lot of space all to herself! It'll be so much fun when Halloween proper arrives.
And thank you for the Ikea info - will go there now for mega cat cuteness overload!!
Take care Amy and the House of Cats!!!

Sounds like purrty good news, all the way around! And we can't WAIT to come pawty on Saturday!
Great reports from a very busy house! We looooove the Ikea commercial :)
Holy cow, we don't know how you keep up with everything! How exciting for Kirzon to have a birthday party - 14 is a great age!
Miss Amy, thank you for noticing how responsible I am with my toys. Since I think I have proven this, I will ask my mom to get me Da Bird. I play with the nip stuff a little bit, like the heart or the sardines, but they're not an every day toy for me. I can't explain why!
Love, Zoe
Thanks so much for stopping by and celebrating Maggie May Day with me!!

Don't worry about posting - and we will try to join you on Saturday! (sometimes our dad needs the computer on Saturday so we cannot visit!)
And re Kirzon - our vet would say that "14 is YOUNG!" (Seriously, she really does feel that way, which is great!) We're sending lots of purrs to him to help with the fur pulling.
Re Lola - We are glad that she is doing OK in the room. Tasha says that she's envious - no obnoxious boy cats to deal with!
Re banister - we really hope the kittens learn about this! We are sure it must be scary for you. (Kittens are like teenagers - they think they are immortal!)
We sure will be here for Kirzon's birthday. That pawty is going to be a lot of fun. Sounds like everything is going well at them moment. Love the part about going up and down the banister. That must be scary.
Have a nice evening.
Wow...I don't know how you keep everything so organized over there. But glad that things seem to be going well.
Yay! Birthday party for Kirzon...
