So, today two of the well know cats of the Cat Blogosphere had to leave for the bridge. Fat Eric, who we had not meant, but who we know was well loved in the CB, and Luxor, who had one of the first blogs we followed both had to leave today. If you have a chance please stop by and send their mom some support.
Also, today I got the most touching email from Winnie's mom Chrystal - thanking us and all of you who went to support her and send good wishes for Winnie, both before and after she left for the bridge. It made me cry, because it really shows what a wonderful person she is - because honestly I feel like we should be thanking her for all she does to help animals, not just Winnie but lots of others who need homes.
Finally, be sure to read my earlier post about Koko - she really needs a forever home and so maybe if you know someone who can help out that would be cool.
Tomorrow will be the hippo post - because we really need some happy stuff after this week!
ETA - Actually there is one happy thing you have to go to - TK and Squashies gotcha day is today and they are doing a commentathon to donate to the shelter that they came from - for every comment they will donate a dollar - so please go wish them a Happy Gotcha Day, and help some kitties too!
ETA - and we also need to request some Purrs and Woof for Maggie, one of the kitties from Animal Shelter Volunteer Life who is owned by one of the volunteers - she is sick and could use some good thoughts!

It's a very sad day indeed. We're sorry to hear about Fat Eric and Luxie. Luxie was one of our first furiends too so our hearts are breaking and mommy can't stop being leaky.
Yep, we've been sad about Fat Eric all day. We hadn't heard about sweet Luxor...really a sad day.
So sad indeed. We send lots and lots of purrs out to the entire universe...to all cats, humans and everything...EVERYTHING!!! The universe needs more purrs...we'll get started on it, but we need everyone to join in...purr, purr, purr, purr, purr... to all our friends that have gone over the bridge and to all our friends who are not feeling well...and to all our friends who are doing fine...we could all use a bit of lovin'. There has been so much sadness of late. It seems to come in giant waves at times. But there will be better days too. We added a comment to the Commentathon and visited Winnie's Mom.

Such sad news! I cannot imagine how awful it will be if my 2 kitty brothers pass away and I don't even want to think about it right now!

Very sad indeed. Why does bad news always seem to come in such big numbers. We didn't know those kitties but we are very sorry and sad for their families.

Oh my goodness - it really has been an incredibly cathartic day at CB! Beautiful Eric and stunning Luxor - much loved and sadly now over the Bridge then that awful story about Koko (please someone adopt her!!!) and little Winnie. Awwwww, poor Winnie. :-(

This was indeed a sad day. This is why I don't like the blogging. It hurts too much when we loose a friend. Even though we know that someday we will all be together at the bridge it doesn't help for right now. My thought and prayers go out to the families that are having this difficult time.
It has been a very sad day today losing two very good friends. It was down to Fat Eric that we started blogging.

When I checked in this morning I discovered Sweet Eric had left us for the Rainbow and I was so sad...and now this evening I find Luxor joined Eric in the light. Losing two long time furfriends is tough...and then reading Winnie's touching story. There is much sadness in the Manx Mnews house tonight.

Too much sadness in one day for so many beautiful creatures and their humans.
This is one of the saddest days in the CB. We will miss our furiends, Eric and Luxor. We didn't know Molly well but we are sad that she has left us too. And sweet Winnie...her time here was too short...

We have lost too many of our furry goodest kitties. Momma says that maybe Heaven wanted the best of the best so the angels came down and took them home...
