Since it has been quite a long time since we have been active, we are going to be Under Construction for a while - trying new fonts, designs, and updating our sidebar stuff. Hopefully we will get it how we like it soon so it won't change too much!

Also - Can someone tell me how to get rid of the giant gap below this notice - I cannot figure out how to do it - thanks!!

What an afternoon!

Hi Everyone! Wow, what a crazy afternoon this turned out to be! An INSANE storm came through - it was cloudy but calm and then all of a sudden the wind went crazy! Our power went out at work (and yes, the company I work for does sell back up battery systems to prevent that, but no, we don't actually get one) and then when the wind seemed to calm down the rain came down so hard! I don't remember any storm like it - and this is the midwest so we get nasty storms! By the time I got home it was just rain, and the cats were all fine, as if they didn't notice. There is another storm headed this way but it doesn't look as bad on the radar. The last one was almost like a land huricane - the winds were around 70 mph with some recorded as high as 90 mph. They were straight line winds, so no tornadoes but lots of damage - lucky for us we didn't have any! But it was bad enough that it broke windows in the Willis Tower (formerly known as the Sears Tower, or as I like to call it, Big Willy).

So once I finally got on to check on the blog comments, I saw a very cool one - we are the featured pet blogger over at the Pet Blogger Support Saturday! You can check it out tomorrrow (or today depending on when you are reading this) at http://www.tppc.tv/blog2. How cool is that! We feel super honored!

Anyway, I wasn't planning to be back on but I had to let you know about the storm. That is why there are no pics - but I promise some this weekend! Have a great weekend everyone!!

We HATE storms. And we're crossing our paws that they are long gone by early August. Do what you can, please?

I saw the storm on the WGN news! Boy...the weather in Vegas is TAME compared to Chi-town, where I spent my first 39 years.

LOL!! "Big Willy", indeed. I'll have to tell Hubby that one.

Glad you're all OK.
