UNDER CONSTRUCTION!

Since it has been quite a long time since we have been active, we are going to be Under Construction for a while - trying new fonts, designs, and updating our sidebar stuff. Hopefully we will get it how we like it soon so it won't change too much!

Also - Can someone tell me how to get rid of the giant gap below this notice - I cannot figure out how to do it - thanks!!

Thanks all

Thanks for the support with Lola. I think that she is just a bit lonely - she never really got close with Kirzon (even though age-wise he is closer) like she did with Floyd (he was a great "mom" to her when she first came to live with us) and because the younger boys want to play all the time (so she usually growls if they get too close), she is just missing her big brother to snuggle with. I am snuggling her a lot - she likes to sleep upstairs a lot of the time. She used to sleep on the couch more but has been hanging out upstairs more since he is gone - he used to sleep on the couch a lot too. Maybe it reminds her, because even when they weren't snuggling they would often be at least near each other - like one on the couch seat and one on the back. I try to get her to snuggle with her brothers but it doesn't work out too well - she will sit on the bed with them though. And there are a few pics I have of her with other kitties - I think she is asleep when they go to snuggle with her so she doesn't notice! Well, that or I put a cat near her (I have done that a few times when one is sleeping in hopes they will become snuggle buddies but it usually doesn't last too long). I thought I would post some pics of Floyd and Lola snuggling - they have been posted before but I thought they would show how they like to snuggle together. There aren't a ton, because honeslty they did it often and it usually looked pretty similar, but there are a few that I took because they seemed extra cute. I like how Floyd is looking at Barney in the last one like "who is this interloper?"

Awwwww I can really see why Lola misses her big brother Floyd! Oh they're so lovely together, I feel all sad now. Oh Lola, big purrs and cuddles from me and Charlie.

And little Barney is just adorable, bless.

Take care

Those are so sweet. I honestly think Lola, like the rest of us, just needs some time to get used to the fact that Floyd is no longer with us. xxx

Poor Lola! It must be awful to lose such a close comfortable loving partner. Just give her extra love and let time take its course; Spring is especially rough--fresh new adventures and smells all calling and no one to share it with.

Well it looks like Lola just misses her brother and that will probably last awhile. Good thing you are snuggling with her more now. The kitty that I have that lost her brother does snuggle with me a lot more when I can get her to come in the house. Hope Lola feel less lonely soon.

Maybe Floyd was all too human and Lola prefers you to other cats to take his place. These pictures are too precious! We send gentle woofs to soothe her...

Amy, The pictures are adorable! They really loved each other. Floyd was a really big, beautiful boy and I'm so glad you had him...of course, it wasn't long enough...my precious Sasha only lived with us 15 months before she died, whereas my Snickers was with us for almost 19 years.
I have a stone with this saying on it...it sits under the cherry tree where 3 beloved pets rest..."Those we hold in our arms for a little while, we hold in our hearts forever."
Take care, Amy. Thinking of you and Lola
Blessings - Beth
