UNDER CONSTRUCTION!

Since it has been quite a long time since we have been active, we are going to be Under Construction for a while - trying new fonts, designs, and updating our sidebar stuff. Hopefully we will get it how we like it soon so it won't change too much!

Also - Can someone tell me how to get rid of the giant gap below this notice - I cannot figure out how to do it - thanks!!

Sorry we disappeared everyone!

We had a crazy weekend - lots of cleaning and resting. I literally didn't turn my computer on after Thursday night. The cats are all good - Barney and Kirzon are "bonding" because I was putting some of Barney's chin cream (that he gets when he over scratches) on Kirzon's head bald spot, which Kirzon hates (Barney hates it too). Barney must have felt bad for him because he was trying to help him by licking it off - and Kirzon let him!!

We also had a crazy weekend because on Friday it was almost 70 degrees and on Saturday I woke up to snow on the ground! It was mostly gone by Sunday but it lasted all day Saturday.

So, as you may not know, our Christmas tree is still up (though undecorated) because we couldn't figure out a way to store it (it broke the bin it was in previously). Well, we want to get new couches (I shouldn't even mention it because it is a jinx when I do) and so it has to come down - I got a long bin for the two top pieces (which are too long for the bin) but the third won't fit in any bin we have found. The cats are so interested in the "half tree" because it is just the height where if they stand on their back legs they are taller than it. So they keep wanting to play in it. It is also right by the front patio doors so it makes it a lot of fun for them. Luckily I have time because the couch isn't in stock right now, just the love seat and ottoman.

I found out that the cat of the lady I work with was attacked by a rotweiler this past Friday. She will be ok but is pretty hurt (she was on the patio outside and the rotweiler came up and attacked - it apparently also went through the storm door and attacked a dog a few weeks back). The complex they live in doesn't allow rotweilers and there is a leash law in the town (and state I believe) but the dog was just out running. Now I don't blame the dog, I blame the owners because they obviously trained the dog to attack - I know that any breed can go either way depending on the people who own it (just look at all the cutie pitbulls who blog for examples of good owners who didn't teach their dogs to be viscious to see what I mean - these are total sweetie dogs). My point is that she needs some purrs and grrrs to get better - she is in a lot of pain but nothing is life threatening.

We will be purring for that poor kitty. My sister Gracie was rescued from a woofie attack and she still is very sensitive is some spots.

Hello!!!

Hope you had a restful weekend and great news about Kirzon and Barney! And at least the bit that is left over from your tree is being used to great effect by the kitties!

:-)

I am sending your friend and her cat lots and lots and lots of healing purrs! I hope the little kitty recovers well. Your friend must have been in shock! :-(

I agree completely about irresponsible dog owners. Sadly it will be the rottie who will suffer because of the owner's carelessness. I hope no more animals and god help us, people are attacked by this misguided and much misunderstood doggie.

Take care

Poor cat! I agree, it's definitely the responsibility of the dog's human. Sending lots of purrs that the cat heals quickly.

We are sending healing purrs for the injured kitty. That is such an awful thing to happen.

Have a nice day!

We will be purring for the kitty.....and we're happy you don't blame the Rottie, because it is definitely the way he/she was raised. Our brotherbean had a Rottie that weighed 150 pounds and his three daughters (our oldest grandbeans) tugged, pulled and crawled all over him (Cooper) when they were young...and he just laid there as relaxed as could be.

Have a wonderful week....xxxxxxxx

I'm so sorry to hear about your friend's cat. Purrrs a comin'! (And yesterday "Healing" was the subject of Confucius Cat's Purrs for Peace - how timely!)

And Old Kitty said it - the rottie has, and will continue to, suffer because of his owners actions and inactions. Why aren't pet owners held to be more accountable?

So sorry to hear about the poor cat.

These people who train dogs to attack should be banned from keeping dogs.

Ever!

That poor kitty. I have to agree with you though, its not the dog its the owners. I have two rottie cousins and they are gentle woofies.. Hugs GJ xx

Pimp and Moo will purr for your friend's cat for sure!

And don't feel bad about the Christmas tree... When I was in college, we had a real one that didn't come down until APRIL. Decorated till then and all. We took it to the dumpster in the middle of the night hoping no one would see us because we were so embarrassed! Haha.
