UNDER CONSTRUCTION!

Since it has been quite a long time since we have been active, we are going to be Under Construction for a while - trying new fonts, designs, and updating our sidebar stuff. Hopefully we will get it how we like it soon so it won't change too much!

Also - Can someone tell me how to get rid of the giant gap below this notice - I cannot figure out how to do it - thanks!!

Angel VSquillions

So today I wanted to post about the Angel VSquillions I adopted from the CB's VSquillion shelter (which is run by Barney's girlfriendcat ♥Gracie♥). After a suggestion from Milo and Alfie, they decided to create some wonderful Angel VSquillions for the kitties who we love that had to go to the bridge. So I adopted 3 of them for the kitties I loved that went to the bridge. I will tell you about each one.

This is Putter, who was the first kitty I had as a little girl. I don't really remember when she was little - I know my dad got her for my mom after mom's dog Misty had to go to the bridge. I do remember that she eventually had kittens, because one night she was in heat so my dad put her in the garage (it was warm out) and he didn't know she wasn't alone. She was kind of a crabby cat but I was little when we got her, so I know I used to try to dress her up and play with her and stuff, so she probably hated that. She lived a long time - she was about 20 when she went to the bridge. She was orange, which is why I adopted an orange VSquillion for her.

Next, I adopted this one for Mog. Mog was one of Putters babies - she was the only brown tabby of the group. They didn't have an actual brown VSquillion, so I went with the closest color, which is this mauve-y one. She was more my cat, but she was still crabby - again, I am sure I drove her crazy when I was little. I know that I used to try and get her to sleep in my baby carriage. She went to the brige about a year after my mom passed away - maybe a bit longer then that. She was also in her 20's. Both she and her mom had hyperactive thyroids, and would get chronic bladder infections, but no matter how many times they peed somwhere they shouldn't, we didn't ever think of giving them up (and we did eventually get both issues taken care of - one kind of led to the other).

Finally, we have the VSquillion for Floyd, who a lot of you know, went to the bridge last October 30. I still miss him so much, and sometimes I will see something black on the couch (we have a fluffy black pillows and also a black Peggy blanket on there) and I think it is him, but then I remember he isn't here anymore.

I was going to write about him but honestly it still makes me very sad. I did write a nice long post on him a while back, which can be found HERE (warning - it is very long). He was such a good boy - just sweet and loving and I miss him every day.

So those are our Angel VSquillions, for the kitties who had to go. We think they are such a great idea.

If you would like to adopt your on VSquillion, you can visit the shelter HERE

Awwww

What lovely VSquillion - all of them very apt for your dear furry friends.

Putter and her baby Mog sound like good ol gals - I like that you remember dressing Putter up and putting Mog in your baby carriage! Bless their little kitty hearts.

Floyd is just lovely.

Thanks for sharing your memories and you are so right - this is such a lovely idea for remembering those furry friends we've loved and lost and still love.

Take care
x

WE just lost our darling cat. We're off to the animal shelter in a month or so to find a new little friend--it's just too soon yet.

Love your blog.

Very sweet; I know you still miss Floyd terribly...Isn't it weird how you think you see them sometimes out of the corner of your eye or as you pass their favorite spot??...I had "visions" of my Nikki for a few years like that.

very sweet post....
well if your mom also tries to dress you all in yarn wrappers.....I guess I won't be coming to Illinois.
MOL I can stay in NC for that abuse.

We really enjoyed reading about your angels. Thanks for sharing your stories.

Thank you also for coming by my blog today. Glogirly has been "busy" and this "busy" has been interfering with my ability to visit my friends! Thanks for your words of encouragement regarding my diet. Don't worry about me... the V-E-T didn't actually call me tubby... she just wants me to be healthy. I still get lots of yummy food. But you know me... I've got to make Glogirly feel at least a little bit guilty!

Aw, (((hugs))) to you and universal Light for healing of your heart.

I adopted a white angel VSquillion named Mercy, partly in memory of Chumley, and partly as entreaty for mercy for all the suffering in this world.

I really like the idea of the VSquillions, had never seen such a thing until we joined the Blogosphere!

What a lovely tribute to your furries that went to the bridge. It was nice of you to share their stories with your post. I have found working at the shelter I had been allowed to share in the stories behind the real kitties that are being honored with a Angel VSquillion. It is an honor that I shall never forget. I hope in some way the Angel VSquillions help those left with holes in their hearts because of their loss not feel quiet as sad.
I am glad that you kept your mauve VSquillion, even when you found out that we did have some brown ones. That lets me know that you are giving lots of love to them and taking the bestest of care.

Oh, what a lovely post. We think that when you see Floyd out of the corner of your eye, that it's his way to let you know that as long as you remember him, he'll be there.

What a coincidence that you wrote this post on the day our little Lisa died !
Thank you so much for your comforting comment ! It's much better for her, otherwise she would have started to suffer.

What beautiful memories of those who went before; we love you VSquillions. We miss Floyd too, but know he is purring down on yoo from the Bridge.

Mom said she sees and hears our Bridge Angel Henry sometimes too; usually when she is feeling lonely and sad. Like yoo, she is not sure if she sees a figment of her imagination or hears a recalled memory ~ but either way it comforts her.

((((((((hugs))))))))))

Hey Sweetie Pie, I don't think I will be in touch much this week. The mom said she isn't going to work for me. Spring break for the dad and they are going to play. Of all the nerve!!!!
Stay safe!
