UNDER CONSTRUCTION!

Since it has been quite a long time since we have been active, we are going to be Under Construction for a while - trying new fonts, designs, and updating our sidebar stuff. Hopefully we will get it how we like it soon so it won't change too much!

Also - Can someone tell me how to get rid of the giant gap below this notice - I cannot figure out how to do it - thanks!!

Things accomplished this weekend = 0

Well, I had another weekend of big plans that didn't happen - and it is all Virgil's fault!

See, as I have mentioned, Virgil isn't the snuggliest cat (he is, in fact, the least snuggly of the group). So when he sits by me, I won't move him unless I really have to - I love the Virgil time. This weekend he sat by me not one, not two, but THREE times! So that pretty much wiped out my weekend.

First, on Saturday he came and sat by me - for more than 4 hours! He was so sweet and snuggly - and at one point Barney came by too - and didn't even try to bite or bug Virgil - he just snuggled up with me too (sorry, no pictures).

Then yesterday he was all snuggly again! The puppy bowl started and I called the cats - and he came and sat by me for it! He and Barney were totally entranced for the first part but by the end of the first commercial they were both asleep - the other two cats stayed upstairs.

Then he left and that worked out ok, because it was time to eat. I would have been fine with him staying, because he is not into people food, but I had to get up at one point, and he left for a bit. But then HE CAME BACK! I love when he is in a snuggly mood, so basically I sat with him this weekend.

There was a bit of naughtiness too. I have pics but I will post them later (and also on the NKC blog later with pics). First, I came down Sunday and first I noticed a weird piece of black plastic on the floor - as I picked it up I noticed that the dill had been knocked off the counter, the lid had broke, and there was dill everywhere! Luckily dill is safe for cats, but I of course yelled that dill is not the same as catnip! I love dill, so I was sad to have to toss most of it! Since Virgil is the one who love to knock stuff off things, I am sure he did it, but since I didn't see it there wasn't really anything I could do.

Then, later, I went in the kitchen while Virgil wasn't sitting by me. I saw the cabinet door open (I am sure I left it that way - I am terrible about that) and who is sitting on the second shelf - Virgil! The shelf was empty so it wasn't a huge deal, but I have never seen him do something like that before. Of course I had to get pictures before pulling him out. I will be posting those later. I just can't believe he was in there! It was very funny and cute, and made me realize I have to be more careful - if there were plates there I don't know if he would have sat on them or knocked stuff down to sit there!

Other than that the cats were pretty good this weekend. Barney was his usual crazy chase boy self - and since the tree is still up (really need to find a container for it) he is still playing with it. And it looks like someone tried to climb on one of the limbs because it is a lot lower then it was before. We just can't find a good container - we would even use two, but the lowest part of the tree is longer then all the containers we have seen. But it will have to go soon because we are still hoping to get new couches, and it won't fit with them (no idea what we will do next year). The cats will be sad when it finally comes down though.

So that was my weekend - not too much going on. I hope you all had a fun weekend, and have a great week! I will have cabinet pics later on and will also have them at the NKC then too!

Oh how wonderful! It not seem like non-producshun at all. You gets to teaches Virgil is fun to snuggle! They not going to put on your gravestone "She not clean her house on 02-07-2010". They will most definitely put that "She teached cats to love!"
This the best thing evah.

Once I get on the human's lap, the human doesn't want to move either!

PS Way to be naughty, Virgil! *purrr*

Snuggles from the ones that aren't snuggly are always the best!

What an interesting weekend you had! I totally understand not wanting to move when Virgil is snuggling. I'm the same way with jane. Alice, however, would snuggle 24-7 if I let her!!

I'm the same way as Virgil. I'm not a lap kitty so when I do sit by Mom, she won't move lest she disturb me and I run off.
