If any of you know someone who might be able to foster a poor pit bull who really needs help in the Jacksonville FL area please go to this link: http://catsonthecounter.blogspot.com/2010/02/heartbreaking-dog-and-stolen-memes.html. We saw this on the Love and Hisses blog - and I am warning you - you will cry if you even go there because of the picture of this poor puppy, but if you can help it will be worth it. He was found starving by the son of the blogger and while he really wants to help he is afraid it may be a violation of his homeowners policy (which is just a stupid policy, but really it isn't the homeowners fault since he didn't know it would ever come up). Seriously, I cried as soon as I went over there and I love that he really wants to help this poor dog. Since I know I get readers and since I know all of you know others around the blogosphere I had to post something.
Also, if anyone has heard anything about the missing whippet puppies let me know - I have tried looking around and haven't seen anything. I keep hoping to find good news.
Added: I just saw Jacqueline's comment about the doggies who need homes mentioned on Hansel's blog - here is a link to that post - the info is at the bottom. http://theworldofhansel.blogspot.com/2010/02/great-get-well-present-from-siku-part-1.html
Added, part 2: We just saw a great comment from Hansel on two of the doggies who need homes - one was adopted! We are so glad to hear that! We hope the 7 year old is adopted too!

Oh how sad! :-( Poor doggie! Now that he is amongst friends I do hope that he'll be on his way to recovery and hopefully find a good loving home soon. Me and the Cat have everything crossed for him, poor thing.
Yes, I would love to hear about those poor whippets too? I hope you get some good news.
It's so great that you're putting these on your blog - you never know in blogworld where it may all lead to - hopefully some good news about the whippett puppies and a proper home for that sweet, sweet doggie.
Take care

We can't read the sad stuff 'cos it makes mom cry too much. But we will send purrs and prayers for a good and happy outcome.
Thanks for spreading the word about Skeletor!
I just went to "Skeletor's" blog to see how he is doing. It sounds like he is doing better and is luckily with someone who is caring and compassionate. I hope he finds a wonderful Forever home soon.
You have such a big heart, Amy. Thanks for keeping us posted. I wish I could adopt all the dogs and cats who need a home!
