UNDER CONSTRUCTION!

Since it has been quite a long time since we have been active, we are going to be Under Construction for a while - trying new fonts, designs, and updating our sidebar stuff. Hopefully we will get it how we like it soon so it won't change too much!

Also - Can someone tell me how to get rid of the giant gap below this notice - I cannot figure out how to do it - thanks!!

EARTHQUAKE!!!!

So, I keep bumping my post for some awards we got - and much like Fin's mom, I know there is one out there that I can't find again (I know that I got one from the cutie "pibbles" (I LOVE THAT NAME FOR THEM BY THE WAY) at Kissa-Bull and one from Fiona at Spot and Fiona but I think there is one that I accidently set to "Mark as Read" - much like Fin's mom did in her post yesterday). But yesterday I decided to post about our new friend Gracie (not to be confused with ♥Gracie♥ or Gracie). Oh, and you can tell when we talk about Barney's girl ♥Gracie♥ because he insists I put the hearts around her name! So that will help a bit!

So then today, I was going to post them, but the we had AN EARTHQUAKE!! Now, I know for some of you that isn't a big deal, but we are right outside Chicago! A lot of people don't realize this is a seismically active area but it is - although usually much further south in New Madrid - an earthquake actually changed the route of the Mississippi River at one point, I think in the 1800's). We have felt them here before (I remember one when I was a kid) but it is always exciting. This morning I was up (I didn't sleep well) and I hear stuff rattling for a few seconds. I naturally assumed it was the cats but turns out they were innocent (sorry kitties) and it was the earthquake!

So I was watching the cats to see if they were acting any different this morning when I got up, but they were acting the same as always - probably because they were hungry since it was breakfast time. Hopefully they didn't freak out too much.

So we will be doing the awards tomorrow - if you are the person I missed I appologize - please let me know and I will be sure to mention it. Oh, and I am super behind in both visiting and NKC stuff (I have a badge to work on) and will be catching up with all that too!

Oh my dearest sweet Barney! I cannot believe that you were in an earthquake! This is terrible, snow storms along with an earth quake. One or the other is more than enough. OK, I do know that it wasn't a biggie, thank goodness for that but geee, we don't think about those kinds of things out here in the midwest.
Tell your mom a million thanks for all the ideas about the blogger monster. I am going to have the dad look at things though, if you check out my place, I slayed two of the blogger monsters all by myself. The mom couldn't wait for the dad and started to click around, make changes, delete photos, and put back in. Now things are up again. I don't get it for one minute. I have a new look, much better than the old one I think.
And I just add that every heart on that page is just for you!!!!

We're from Missouri, so we know all about the New Madrid! We had an earthquake in St. Louis, a couple of years ago. It woke us up, because our bed was shaking. Our beans yelled, "Earthquake!" and we ran and hid!

Oh, boy! That would sooo freek out my human bean. Could you feel the quake, or was it just little vibrations?

Wow. An earthquake. We didn't know about that. We had one here too (a very light one) but we woke up and then went back to sleep.
