UNDER CONSTRUCTION!

Since it has been quite a long time since we have been active, we are going to be Under Construction for a while - trying new fonts, designs, and updating our sidebar stuff. Hopefully we will get it how we like it soon so it won't change too much!

Also - Can someone tell me how to get rid of the giant gap below this notice - I cannot figure out how to do it - thanks!!

Pics tomorrow - I promise

So, first I wanted to thank everyone who is chipping in for little Misty, the kitty who needs surgery. When I heard about her and saw her picture my heart just broke - she is such a little cutie! I posted the chipin link this morning and it was at $95 - it is at $390 as I type this. That is so awesome.

So, I don't have any new pictures - for two reasons. The first is that Brad is sick - he has what I had this weekend, but a lot worse. Second is that honestly the house is a mess so I don't want to get any mess pictures.

We have inventory at work on Friday - work is getting really stressful, and this just adds to it - fun! At least I can come home to a bunch of crazy cats!

So I have a cat story too - just so you aren't too disapoointed. Barney is fascinated by the bathtub, and when I take a bath at night he loves to be in the room when it fills and watch. But sometimes he isn't really thinking and jumps in, and then as the water closes in he is trapped. But I am always there to save him. He has always done this but now it is better because he is big enough that his head would be above the water if he fell in, which I am convinced will happen soon. See, in addition to jumping in, he also likes to try to "attack" me through the shower curtain. And I know at some point he will jump with both paws up and fall forward - he usually keeps his two back feet and one front paw down. He is not going to like it when he falls in but I know that if he doesn't he will just keep it up, and honestly it makes me a little crazy because I am always trying to stop him, so it makes it take a lot longer to get done bathing. It's like the cats didn't learn to check to see if the lid is down on the toilet before jumping up until the fell in the first time. But they don't usually do it more then a couple times before learning. Oh well, he is still a baby so maybe he will get bored with it.

Anyway, I plan to have pictures tomorrow - so be sure to check back!

One time, after mom had taken a bath, I was so curious about the bath tub that I jumped right in...and then realized that there was water still in it! Boy was I surprised! And so was mom who had to chase me down to dry me off!

Hi Amy,
Mom says from now on she is calling Barney Mr. Bubbles!!! MOL
My sis's first kitty suffered with megacolon for many years. We know all about it. WE hope Misty does ok with the surgery. That was not an option back when Cali was so sick....
We hope Brad feels better soon,
Madi and Mom

Why don't kitties like the water? I love water. Baths aren't as much fun as rain though.

That sounds like a lot of fun!

(we have to ask the Humans if they can get us a bathtub too)

We all love to get in the bathtub too but we have never done it with water in there. Now we do love water because we get in the puddle's around the barn.
Going to look at the little kitty that needs surgery.

Miz Poo used to actually climb onto me when I was in the bathtub and lay there while I soaked. She'd even dip the end of her tail into the water!

Then one day I started the tub filling, and she was sitting on the edge of the tub, one of the other cats came along and smacked at her. She had to smack back (of course!), and lost her balance and fell in, then sloshed frantically around and around in circles in the tub. She couldn't get out 'cause the tub was too slick! I had to fish her out. (Boy, nothing smells worse than wet cat!) That was the last bath she took with me. :)

MOL at Barney! He is much more brave around water than I am. I even avoid puddles!

My cats hate getting wet.

Didn't know there were so many cats that liked the tub or shower. Everytime I turn on the water my cats are outa there. The one that got the closest to any water except their water bowl is Casper drinking out of the toilet. I put a stop to that. Sure hope Brad well be feeling better real soon. Looking forward to the pics

Hi Amy. How are you? Sorry to read that you were sick and now Brad is. No fun at all! I'm glad Kirzon came out of his teeth cleaning okay.
Cody loves to jump in the tub when it's empty and wait for me to turn it on to a trickle so he can drink the little bit of water that gathers. It drives me crazy, but I humor him.
It seems like it's been a long month, but it's nice to check in on you and your kitties again.
Hugs,
Lorianna

My sweet Barney, I am sorry that I haven't been able to visit lately. The mom isn't being nice this work and not been working for me. I told her to let me come over and visit and if she didn't I would bother her all of the night long and she wouldn't get any sleep at all. Hope all is well at your place.

Congrats on the great fund raising effort! It will really make a difference. As for Barney...are you sure he hasn't seen the shower scene in Psycho?
