I swear this will be shorter.

So quick Floyd update - he took his pills hidden in the treats yesterday on his own, and ate a bit of dinner on his own, and I gave him some through the syringe too. This morning it didn't go as well, but he isn't used to pills in the morning so that could be part of it. He didn't eat either, but it is still that special food so that could be why (he could associate the smell with the syringe feeding). I gave him the syringe food and he ate it - he seems ok with it, I just am not great at giving it to him because sometimes I give him too much at one time. I set up the appointment for the specialist - it is on 10/30 because I just couldn't afford to go any sooner, but since he is doing better (mood wise he is pretty close to normal now and he does come in the kitchen for treats every time I am in there) it should be ok - if need be I can always try and move it up. I am going to try and give him some Fancy Feast Appetizers, which he really likes, when I get home (yesterday it was a syringe feeding). So keep your fingers and paws crossed.

I should have some pictures later to post - I didn't check the battery but I know it was charging last night so it has to be done by now.
