UNDER CONSTRUCTION!

Since it has been quite a long time since we have been active, we are going to be Under Construction for a while - trying new fonts, designs, and updating our sidebar stuff. Hopefully we will get it how we like it soon so it won't change too much!

Also - Can someone tell me how to get rid of the giant gap below this notice - I cannot figure out how to do it - thanks!!

Moo & Baa - Day 2

Sorry to post so late - we had quite a busy day. Moo and Baa stayed at my house today, which is good because 3 of our techs were in big trouble - 2 were written up and one was suspended for three days (I think they should all have been fired, but I am not the boss). Here is what they did today.

Moo Moo and Baa Baa had decided they would hang out at our house. First, the decided to see what videos we have. Barney helped them look.

I am not sure if they decided to watch anything - they seemed most interested in the Futurama videos.

Next they decided to see what books we have - there are a lot of cook books, text books, books on jewelry making and books on physics.

But Barney pointed out the photo albums, so they decided to take a look through those (and yes, that is me at 10 months old)

Then, they thought it would be fun to see what was happening out back, so they sat in the window for a while. Though they aren't in the picture, they saw lots of ducks and bunnies.

After that, they were inspired to go outside. They thought it would be fun to climb the tree in our front yard.

They were inspired to try and work out, so they thought they would try the recumbent exercise bike - they couldn't quite reach the pedals.

They knew Lola hasn't been feeling well, so they spent the rest of the day hanging out with her on the couch. She thought that was very nice of them.

After I got home from work, we thought it would be fun to take them to Downtown Downers Grove - there is a lot of fun stuff there (though most stuff closes a bit early). When we went outside they noticed our cool rocks in the front yard and wanted to take a closer look.

They also wanted to check out the stickers on Brad's truck. There are a lot of cycling companies on there. And also some Texas Longhorns.

We parked in the parking garage downtown because it was tough to find a big enough parking spot for the truck.

The first place we took a look at was the Main Street Cemetery, which is also known as the Founders Hill Cemetery. It is where many of the towns founders are buried. I thought it might be tacky to take pictures of the headstones, but I knew the plaque would be ok. (My dad thought it was very interesting when he visited me and we ate at the restaurant next to the cemetery - he had to check it out. He was really into geneology.)

Next we went to The Cellar Door, which is a really cool wine shop down the block from the cemetary (the cemetary is right in the middle of town). They also have a wine bar with tasty stuff - I let Moo and Baa check out the menu, but didn't let them have any drinks.

They thought it would be fun to take a picture inside the shop and the employees were cool and said it was ok.

Next we went to Ballydoyle, which is an Irish Pub across the street - they have tasty food, good drinks and bands play there all the time.

Our waitress was too shy to take a picture with them, but we were able to have one of the waitresses pose with Moo and Baa - she was very nice to do so.

Here they are posing with my drink - it is a Warsteiner. That was my dad's favorite, which is why I tried it the first time - it is pretty good. We also had Corned Beef Balls, and I had potato skins. It was yummy!

After that Moo Moo and Baa Baa were very tired, and so they decided to go to bed when we got home. They went to sleep by Kirzon.

Tomorrow look for more adventures!

Sounds like Moo and Baa are having a fabulous time.

Our mum bean would love to have a look round that cemetery. She finds them the most interesting places from a social history side of things.

It looks like you are showing Moo and Baa a great time! The pictures are wonderful. Where are the Star Trek dvd's? :)
I'm sorry to hear that Lola has been sick. Sounds like she is having the same rough time as Billie had. It's very upsetting to have a sick furbaby isn't it? Very stressful! I will keep her in my thoughts. I try to light a candle or two every evening and send out positive energy to everyone in need. I will certainly send some your way.
I am a bit less sore. It still hurts to get up and get into a sitting position or to lay down, but once I'm settled I'm okay. Yeesh, when it rains it pours!
I hope things are better for Lola today.
Hugs,
Lorianna

Moo and Baa are having way more fun than I'm having! I never get to go out to restaurants or have nice waitresses hold me...sigh. They also got nice naps with furriends. I'm a bit jealous.

Oh! We forgot to mention, we saw your comment on Brian's blog about backing up. You might try this from KC's blog if you haven't - http://missyblueeyes.blogspot.com/2009/07/tecknickle-tortie-toosday-updated.html . We've backed up that way, though we haven't tried re-uploading to ensure it worked (The Mommy's afraid she'll really mess it up then!)

Good luck!
